Thats the problem with the nba cup, once it gets to quarter finals it really starts messing with the schedule. Teams get too much rest, when that rest could of been spread out more over the season.

 

It’s such a weird schedule that everyone in the league got tonight off for one game that happened on a random Tuesday?

so for the Rockets, their NBA cup semifinals game counted towards the regular season, so they had to get the rest of the league caught up and plug in some games.

But it makes no sense to give the whole league Wednesday after the cup Finals off, especially after Election Day and Thanksgiving day were league wide days off as well.

 

Well the schedule was out before the cup so any team could win. Then they would have been forced into a back to back after a game that didn't count. I guess they could've scheduled Utah-Washington and Detroit-portland knowing these teams would be eliminated. The other teams were caught up as they scheduled a couple of non-playoff games last week with the group that didn't qualify. Now it's back to regularly scheduled programming.

I see what you mean, but they could have included the day after the Cup Finals to schedule in the games to get the non qualifiers or knockout round losers caught up to the rest of the league. I just don’t get why they treat the week of NBA Cup like its own mini all star break. It’s the day off yesterday that really bugs me.
