LOL, I didn't say he was, but my point was there are lots of guys who will play until they simply can't, regardless of how much pain they are in. I just think he's one of them. If players didn't play injured you wouldn't have guys so many guys who play numerous seasons without missing a game. Not many quarterbacks milk a strain or sprain for weeks sitting out until 90% healthy. They know they are the leaders of the offense.
The fact that Chiefs fans know refs by name says everything you need to know. The only ref I know by name is Ed Hochuli, and that's just because his biceps have their own fan club. I know he’s got a son who’s also a ref, but I couldn’t tell you his name, probably Ed Jr. or Slightly Smaller Biceps Hochuli and I couldn't pick him out of a lineup.
To be fair about "remembering" refs. We all know a few that we don't prefer against the Rockets. Refs get compromised by people. They affect the game intentionally. You want to question that... see Tim Donaghy.
Mahomes is playing, we all know that. The only question is if CJ makes it through the game. It could get real ugly with that Texans OL against the Chiefs D. CJ getting sacked 45 times this season is about to go to 50 plus this week.
Let him play. Once Anderson and Hunter get done with him, he may not be able to go in the playoffs. Our D can figure out the chiefs, it's the offense that is offensive.
Stroud simply needs to be better and we need to stop blaming others for his shortcomings. Here's a good example, it's 3rd and 2 and Stroud has 2 wide open receivers for an easy first down due to good blocking and a good play call that was executed properly by the receivers. What does ELITE franchise QB CJ Stroud decide to do? Absolutely nothing. He holds on to the ball staring at the open receivers, then decides to scramble into a sack. Loss of 9, 4th down.
Stroud got greedy on that one, seems he was waiting for Nico to clear... Sucks but you're going to get that with him sometimes.
I totally get that, but when you have an automatic first down that you can get and it's 3rd down, you don't get greedy. Take the first down rather than the sack. The real issue is how often he does that this season when he wasn't really doing that last season. A lot of the complaints about the O coordinator are just Stroud screwing plays up like this. There's so many times I'm watching live where I ask WHY DIDN'T THEY HAVE A QUCK OPTION!?!?!?!?.....only to later see that they did, Stroud just decided to ignore it, opting to take a sack instead. For Stroud to be an elite QB, he can't keep missing open receivers and killing drives. When playing good teams, you won't get that many opportunities, so if you waste them, you're done.
