Happy that the Bucks making the finals will surely keep Doc in the coaching seat and away from commentary.

The lack of crowd intensity in Vegas is a downer just like last year. Not much they can do about it

    Here's my idea:

Replace All-Star Weekend with the Cup final (Sunday) and semifinals (Friday). Have an All Star Saturday night if they insist. Turn the All-Star teams into lists of the best players like the NFL does with Pro Bowl teams. Have the all stars sit court side during the Sunday final instead of forcing them to play in a game they've made a mockery out of.

This format would allow fans to plan travel for the weekend instead of this short-notice Las Vegas setup that prohibits them from attending en masse.

Oh, and make the four quarterfinal games the Christmas Day showcase. If the NFL is going to come for the NBA's Christmas showcase the latter may as well give basketball fans something competitive to watch instead of football.

This solves the dead crowd issue with rotating annual hosts. It replaces the current "wandering gamblers" vibe of this Las Vegas weekend with a competitive celebration of basketball.

    This seems really cool actually.

For the All-Star Game, the change I would make is to eliminate fan voting. Instead, the starters and bench players should be selected based on their stats, ensuring that the best players for each position make the team for West vs. East. Fan voting can be skewed, biased, and often inaccurate in determining which players deserve to be included.

Unfortunately I still don't think that would fix the issue of the players not trying at all during the game. Replacing it with the cup final would add stakes to it.

The thing is the climate, you better move the Cup to February because December is cold as hell.

I'm not watching this game, but the box score says the Thunder are 3 for 25 from the arc? Is this great defense or just crap shooting (in which case, why couldn't the Thunder have done this for us)?

**** OKC - I watch too many Rockets games to have my NBA Cup viewing experience ruined by yet another edition of Brick Sh1house Udoka Offense with crappy C floaters and guards who are 4-27 from 3.
