D Morey has developed most of y’all into wanting to trade just to trade. A lot of these ideas don’t make any sense.
I don't see KJ getting any non-garbage time minutes here. Not good enough on defense, Amen and Tari basically do everything he does plus a lot more. Happy to see him keeping his career going though, best of luck to him!
we’d be in a position to offer Jalen if we hadn’t extended him. GS may be doing what I hoped Houston would do. Frustrating. Although I don’t know where Cam would fit in without disrupting our front court, which is playing well.
Anybody we go after must be at least an average defender. We have the forward position covered. We need SG/Combo guard depth.
I see Amen as incredibly versatile. He would be able to slide to the SG, combo guard position almost as easily as he can stay at the SF if the Rockets add a guard. On Cam Johnson, I'd see the swap of his defense for Green's as a lateral move with enough spacing to make up for swapping Amen and Brooks in the starting lineup. I don't know if I would offer enough to get Cam Johnson, but see no problem with fit.
With Paul Reed cut, Detroit looks to be getting ready for a trade. Now they can easily take a player with a poison pill provision. Only players that pop for me on Detroit are: Cade Beasley Ausar Stewart I doubt Cade, but would love him. Beasley and a Stewart trade for non rotation guys would be interesting. Not sure what assets Rockets would need to send. Cam? Beasley's defense would be an issue.
Crazy thing is that I think KJ would have responded well and benefited tremendously from playing under Udoka. Those Silas years did no one any favors. On a side note, he really could have used a year or two in college instead of IMG .... those places are full of yes men coddling players rather than teaching them anything.
I would claim Reed, but I don't think we have an open roster spot. I almost guarantee another team is going to nab him.
There is an open roster spot and they have the $$$ with $15m+ between the current salary and the first apron where they are hard capped.
love Paul Reed and the only reason he’s available is because Detroit has Stewart and Duren dominating those minutes. Since we have so many good front court players I doubt we make a play for him but someone is going to get a guy with that Tari motor.
