I don't think anyone could have predicted that the Pelicans would implode so quickly. They clutched Zion and Brandon Ingram--two guys they could have traded for multiple assets, and now they play like an injury-filled team. I hope the NBA doesn't doom Cooper Flagg by locking him into this group of players/front office.
Seems like I read somewhere there are details in Zion's contract that make it voidable in some instances. Otherwise, he is a huge negative asset in a trade.
He is definitely Negative He is Kawhi Level without the pedigree/Success/ I would want him on my team but I would only expect him to play 50% of games and the playoffs and would need the discount to match Rocket River
Why would you want a player your team depends on for maybe half the season, then must adjust to playing without him later in the season and playoffs?
At a discount . .. he'd be worth the risk I'd take my chances on him being available from say . .April on .. . at the right price Rocket River
Really? It’s a **** franchise with **** ownership. Nobody is shocked that they can’t put together a decent team for long. I didn’t have to ‘predict’ that it wasn’t going to work out because I knew it wouldn't.
it all comes down from the top. Good ownership leads to delegation and hiring of good management, which leads to hiring of good staff. It's not rocket sinus.
I just read the last 3 yrs of his contract is not guaranteed Zion is the JaMarcus Russell of the NBA Replacing good ole Two Sammiches Rocket River
He has a weight clause and he has another clause regarding the foot he has injured in the past, these two clauses can void his contract or guarantee it for the remainder of each year. It is essentially a non guaranteed contract. It really is sad, I think he has an actual eating disorder. I have never seen this from a guy of this caliber do this to himself, especially this early in his career. Shaq went from being in great shape to overweight, but he still dominated.
