Totally get it almost same thing here with my wife being from CR. We looked at other places that were more "affordable" but allowing her to rekindle with extended family and our kids/grandkids to experience their roots first hand just felt like the right thing to do.

@Buck Turgidson --- San Jose to Austin flight is just 4 hours! Juuuuust sayin' :D I'll be leaving behind some family and wanted to be able to get here on a moments notice if life happens as it undoubtedly will.

Im still a homer, but I keep telling myself that we can hit the playoffs at full strength and playing our best ball of the year because well we havent been healthy or playing good ball!

Ever spent time in Panama City (not Florida)? That's one of my "never live, love to visit" cities down there.

I’m not sure I like the sound of this. Kinda sounds like Bobby will be ducking Ramsey but he’s been burnt a few times this year.

Have not, but Im certain I will in the coming years. You get more bang for your buck in Panama thats for sure. What about it makes you just want to visit?

Nico is an All Pro -- THEY should be game planning for him. Not a fan of that mentality, but at least it offers a glimpse into contingency planning I guess. Lets see them walk the walk.

Yeah well... Stingley>>>>> Ramsey(overrated). Just have Sting be more physical in practice.

A group of 5 or 6 guys I hung with in high school all joined the Merchant Marine in the late '80's early '90's. ALL of them eventually bought land and moved down there. A couple married locals and are raising families there.

The "Old Town" Panama City (Casco Viejo/Panama Viejo) is pretty amazing if you like architecture, food, music, meeting locals, history, museums, drink, walking around looking at stuff, etc...

One of the 4 foreign Countries I have been to. Mexico and Canada of course, then Costa Rica and Brazil. The last two on Church related visits. But the first two were day trips only.

I like the contingency planning myself. Don't go for broke guessing with a permanent state of uncertainty.

I was born Texan and I'll probably die Texan, likely less than 5 miles from where I was born. But you never know when you'll be relegated to a nursing home.

I was born in Wichita Falls, grew up in Houston, spent a bunch of time (and now live) in the Hill Country. All Texas.

I know there must be a difference, but between my eyes and my monitor, I can't see it.

Being able to flip a switch as we approach the playoff season is always a hope for those who are still looking toward their first Championship or their next.
