The Nets are actively shopping most of their players that have value, they seem ready to tank, they just need to move a few players. I doubt they are looking to add someone like FVV.

    Just musing…
is there any Rocket interest in prying Ausur to TheToyShop? If so, what would it take? Bari/Jock - Ausur/Stewart?

Bill Simmons proposed this trade in his most recent video. Thoughts?

    FVV, Adams, Tate, Whitmore, FRP

    for

    Butler, Rozier

We cant mess with what we have for the right to extend and overpay an aging Jimmy butler. Sure he’s better than Fred, but Fred is pretty important to our success and we don’t have a replacement. you throw in Cam and a 1st and it starts to feel a little much. If I’m trading for a vet like Jimmy, Jalen has to be in the deal. Also I’m no fan of Rozier.

If Travis Scott was still 30, it could work. Not now

I would try to reroute Rozier (or get Duncan Robinson instead)

Any interest in Bogdanovic from Atlanta? He has a couple of seasons left on his contract and is having a bit of a down year, but he’s a good shooter off of the bench and the Rockets could move him next season if they feel like Cam is ready.

Tate, Green (or Jock) and a couple of 2nd round picks for Bogdanovic?

I’m assuming you mean Jeff Green? I’d do that if that’s all it cost.

Haha yes, Uncle Green. Not Jalen.

I often wonder as well, what would KMJ be like on this team.... especially if he can maintain this year's 3 point %

This idea is just baffling to me. We would get way older with butler and we would get worse with no FVV. Not only that, but we're giving up a pick? Just nuts.

He's old, but he's really good, super efficient and a positive defender. A two year rental could make sense to me. It would make the team more competitive now, and allow for internal development to replace him after next season.

We would have no guards and nobody to initiate anything. What would your lineup look like?

Green / Brooks or Amen / Butler / Smith / Sengun. Green often initiates the offense anyways. Go more through Sengun as the hub. It definitely would be interesting to see.

Man, you would always have at least 3 non shooters and very limited creation. It could be ok in situations but having to play 48 minutes without a single guard who can create is rough. What’s the point though? Why get a 35 year old and lose assets just to have the title odds go from 0 to 0?

I don’t think our title odds are 0 now, and I think they are improved if we get Butler. But not exactly by a ton. Like, going from 1% to 3%. The only thing I’ll say is that Butler would make us more competitive IMO until our guys start entering their primes and can take over.

Ideally, you'd keep Fred and it'd be a Dillon and Green swap. You'd then run FVV/Amen/Jimmy/Smith/Sengun. If Fred were involved, I'd want to engage a third team for a vet starter PG.

I guess you have a way more optimistic view of our title odds, i think without fvv our odds would go down and not up (in theory, it’s 0 either way). I would MUCH rather keep every possible asset for a potential big move in the future vs wasting stuff for a short term old guy.
