I think he should just give that up and practice normal shots within the flow of an offense. His shot diet should look more like Tari Eason's than James Harden's. Cause he's had 3 1/2 years trying to be the latter and is still very far from that archetype.
Id love to see this entire team perform on offense. They would be so fast man lol as good as ime has us playing defensively, dantoni would have these guys runnnnnning. 7sol on steroids with this roster. we are 100% a better team, even hypothetically, with ime at the helm though. This roster is full of fantastic to good defenders all bought in.
He'd probably average at least 5 more turnovers and 15 more missed shots a game if they let him run that offense.
Amen doesnt do the pullup in simalar situations, he does a 2 dribble attack to the freethrow line. It usually just leads to a pass to restart the offense though. Sometimes its the free throw pull up and even Jalen will do it sometimes. Seems like the better option at this point tbh. The pull up 3 is such a precarious catch 22. Its what the defense is giving us and (as ime has said many times) we have to punish that defense and taking the shot is the correct play, but man whether its Jalen or Fred, it always feels like a brick. Except when Adams sets the screen, those pull ups feel "smoother".
And with no shooters and dantoni defense, we’d be about .500 or maybe just under. Dantoni would hate this squad because no one can ****ing shoot to save their life lol
oh yeah the score would be something like we lost 130-142. Just saying that with this many athletes, it would be fun to watch lol

Hopefully Jalen does start taking fewer 3's with Jabari and Dillon taking more consistently moving forward. Dillon averages only 5.4 per game, and is our best 3 PT shooter by far out of the starting core this year. Jabari is only taking the same amount he always has by average this year with 4.9. Jalen increases his amount of 3's every single year and this year he's increased it once again, averaging 7.7 per game. The stupid thing about that is his made percentages have decreased every single year.

Jalen is quite decent C&S 3pt shooter. He should just limit himself to those shots. If he can knock those down regularly, defense will be forced to close out and he can then use pump fake to blow by.
he just needs to play decent and make the smart clutch play and let our franchise player carry us to victory
