Damn. I like it, Bill. We will always have that memory of Kyle running for that foul ball to secure the WS

Excited and glad to get something before another star left.

We haven't traded out a good player in what feels like forever. Tough to send out one of our guys, but in the long term probably the right move. In the short term...still quite a bit of work to do for 2025.

I really like Paredes. Probably won't be a star, but should be a really valuable player for 3 seasons and allows us to use resources elsewhere. The other guys, no clue. Time will tell on them.

Window for success in 2025 got smaller, widow on 2026 and beyond got a little larger.

Loved Tuck but this is good business.
Remind me again how many players the Angels got in return for Ohtani.

Can Smith play right away and Paredes to first?

I'm sad. I wish we had an owner that would extend people like Tucker, but a solid deal for a rental.

Now please acquire some outfielders because an outfield of Dubon Meyers and McCormick is terrible lol

Not that sad about it. Tucker has had a lot of struggles in the post season and honestly it was hard to watch sometimes. He had some great defensive plays but his offense dies every postseason.

No way we were going to be able to sign him and I'm glad it wasn't the NYY.

Don't get me wrong I LOVED King Tuck but he also has some horrendous defensive moments. None that killed us during the postseason that I can rcall but occasionally his ability just seemed come too easy for him.....

Hope Brown is right about Cam Smith, I would have preferred one of Shaw/Horton/Triantos in that spot

Paredes should be able to mash at the Air Conditioner, pull hitter looking at the Crawford Boxes

I don’t like it, feel like the return is underwhelming

Shaw was the only prospect I would have rather had than Smith. Smith is a really really good prospect.

Yea Shaw (#22 of out of top 100) would've been my pick but I have to trust Dana and knowing talent.

While not a better player, Paredes could have a better season (getting to play in Minute Maid as a pull-hitter) than Tucker next year and that would be kind of funny if Tucker ends up being a one-year rental for the Cubs.

They got a decent player and apparently good prospects for someone that was likely to leave next winter. And they didn't gift him to the Yankees. It's a small win, all things considered.
