The Rockets clearly tried to unlock Jalen early this season and he already failed. In fact, they've been keeping him mostly unlocked from day 1 of his rookie year and he has shown to be not worthy. If FVV is not up to snuff, the Rockets should be trying to unleash some other guys on the roster first before going back to the Jalen Green well.
Could it all be coming back around full circle? Could the optimism that was there for Jalen return in Vegas where it all started?? Sure hope so.
It was clear as day that they wanted both to increase his trade value and his value around the league in general.......and cement his status as 2nd option on a very good team.......justifying that contract that they will pay him very soon in half a year. There is still time but it is not looking great.
So many snarky comments towards a guy who dove on the floor, out-hustled Kuminga and stole the ball for the last possession in a 1 point game against our arch nemesis. Played good defense all game. No one likes his efficiency, but if there's a night to say "everyone has bad nights" it's last night. Let's hope for a better performance next. Just want to see him continuing to limit his jumpers and try to get to the FT line for us.
I’m hoping this Vegas trip will be like a reset for Jalen. That a new fire will be sparked inside him to want to be great. That he sees how much he impacts this team and that he could be the reason we take that next step. I’m hoping for it to just click and from there he proves why he was drafted as high as he was and why they extended him this year. I want to see him succeed because I want to see this team succeed.
I mean this is a Jalen Green will be numero uno thread. If you want to start a thread saying Jalen Green will be a key role player and energy guy for the franchise, and talk about his hustle and clutch FTs, I'm all for it. And I may even go as far to say I'd agree with the sentiment. Although in that thread, I'm sure you will need to also talk about why the Rockets want to pay a role player with suspect 3pt shooting $35mil/yr, when most fans got pissed they paid a better defender and just as shaky 3pt shooter Dillon Brooks $21mil/yr.
I REALLY HATE POSTS LIKE THESE. Has nothing to do with the facts or what people are actually talking about. Just tryna make people feel bad for not stanning Jalen Green and actually telling the truth about his game. I would be the happiest person on earth if he was the player his stans say he is but he is not and Im not gonna be made to feel bad because I acknowledge that fact.
I've literally watched other "franchise" players on this team clank critical free throws that lost us games. Now that we can actually win the first super high leverage game with this core where the game turned into a REAL playoff ugly slugfest you still have these Jatin' ass fools who cant help themselves and just tip the cap without injecting a qualifier.
From the pattern of the last 7 or 8 games, Jalen will have a big scoring game in Vegas on Saturday. And if we win, he will have a crappy one in the championship game.
You can make a TON of money if you really believe that will happen - just sayin'. What better place to put this theory to work but Vegas?
Dillon's the best 3 PT shooter on our team this year in our starting core. He and Jabari both need to take those 3's at the volume Fred and Jalen do. Shaky shooting is definitely our starting guards. The only thing consistent about their shooting is that it goes up and down and up and down.
JATERS! are now the worst posters on this site. it's not even close. go root for the teams that have players you do like, assholes.
