CVS Health, UnitedHealth Group, and Cigna sued the Federal Trade Commission on Tuesday, claiming that the agency’s case against drug supply chain middlemen over high insulin prices in the U.S. is unconstitutional.

The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, is the latest move in a bitter legal fight between the three largest pharmacy benefit managers, or PBMs, in the U.S. and the FTC.

The FTC in September sued CVS’s Caremark, Cigna’s Express Scripts and UnitedHealth’s Optum Rx in the agency’s administrative court, accusing those PBMs and other drug middlemen of using a “perverse” rebate system to boost their profits while inflating insulin costs for Americans.

The FTC’s in-house administrative process initiates a proceeding before an administrative judge who would hear the case. FTC commissioners then vote on that opinion.

The Tuesday complaint argues that the FTC’s process violates the companies’ due process rights under the Fifth Amendment. The companies also allege that the FTC’s claims involve private rights that must be litigated in federal court rather than in the agency’s in-house administrative court.

Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro has condemned those who praised the killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, insisting: "He is no hero."

At a press conference on Monday evening in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Shapiro warned Americans not to let their "real frustration with our healthcare system" lead them to "dehumanize" the victim.

"Brian Thompson was a father to two. He was a husband. And he was a friend to many. And yes he was the CEO of a health insurance company," Shapiro told reporters.

"In America, we do not kill people in cold blood to resolve policy differences or express a viewpoint... in a civil society, we are all less safe when ideologues engage in vigilante justice.

"In some dark corners, this killer is being hailed as a hero. Hear me on this: he is no hero."

The policy of frat bro MBA networking allowing you the right to skim billions of health insurance network money so you can deny knee replacement surgery for a bunch of 60 year olds.

You know from what I hear Hitler had policy disagreements with me also.

"Policy disagreements" is something only a wealthy privileged ******* will label the denial of medical procedures that has shorten lives or reduced the quality of life of millions.

Do these people comprehend how policy disagreements is the difference between life or death for so many Americans? You can't diminish the cries of these people and their relatives as mere policy disagreements.

If people like this clown show is going to be representative of the future of the DNC, we are lost and a violent revolution is merely inevitable.

I want CEOs who skim billions from insurance network pools so they can deny Anti- nausea medication to children in chemotherapy to feel sweaty and nervous to where it effects their decisions as executives.

I'm going to warn you that you will not have an ability to shame me in believing these people deserve to live in constant fear.

Man using a clip from the movie American Psycho is the ultimate form of irony here. I suggest you learn the intent of the writers of that movie and book before hand with what message they were trying to to bring across (the vapid hollowness and and lack of merit when it comes to our corporate executive class)

i wouldnt do it, but doxxing is all the rage right now...the new hero of the right-wing/trumpers is doing it. he doxxed the names of a bunch of random government employees, some of whom are now getting harassed. he also made multiple jokes about assassinating biden and harris, once even doing it in a church.

it seems to be working out great for him...he has the adulation of right-wingers. he has billions in government contracts. has been with trump 24/7 since the election and is apparently directing/influencing public policy and engaging with world leaders.
