Medical Trainers, maybe even Chefs need to be Fired the Most. Why were some players overweight. (Chas McCormick, Cristian Javier Last Season when Rangers destroyed him in ALCS Game 7)
Injuries + 2 win differential notwithstanding (‘24 vs ‘23)… the clubhouse & day-to-day were both better managed in ‘24 than we’ve witnessed over the previous 2-3 seasons. i’d go as far to argue that had Espada been behind the wheel in the driver’s seat for the last few weeks + playoffs in 2023, the Astros DONT lose to the Rangers. Lol that MoldycvckoldScrewhouston manager… what a silly experiment post-WS championship.
Delusion is STRONG with this one. Injuries in 2020 and 2021 were much deeper and the team still made it to atleast Game 7 of the LCS or WS.
Just to clarify: which post-WS Chompionship experiment are you positing was silly? A} The one that resulted in the team making the ALCS every single year, winning several pennants, and - oh yeah - ANOTHER WS CHOMPIONSHIP, Or B} the one that was so abysmal that there were even rumors of talk coming from inside the dynastic clubhouse by players and management calling for a change, after which the seemingly checked out team failed to make the ALCS for the first time in a freaking decade - much less the division series - by losing their only two playoff games in the most flaccid of fashions? Which experiment was silly? A or B? ...In before the psychopaths falsely accuse me of being a dust bunny or whatever, and to remind them for the billionth time that I RAGED as hard as anyone against his treatment of Diaz and Chas Chomp even though I know it won't make a difference.
Yes there is. He sabotaged 2023. His championship year was because he inherited a turn-key WS team. there is a reason why that was his only title also, I don’t care what color the manager is. You are the only one that cares about that. You openly rooted for Espada to fail too.
Um...the 2020 Astros were not a WS team. They had injuries to Yordan and Verlander...and lost Springer to FA. That team somehow made it to 7 games of the ALCS with a bunch of rookie/1-year pitchers. From there, Dusty managed his ass off to win that WS in 2022 after injuries in the 2021 playoffs and losing in the WS. I know your hate for Dusty is LEGENDARY, but Dusty was the most successful manager, for his tenure, in Astros history. 4 ALCS, 2 WS, 1 WS win.
Turn-key Hinch had already taken the team to the WS twice. And Dusty sabotaged 2023 because of his enormous ego after winning one title that he was handed. He didn’t build that Astro team, he was given that team. He was a ****ing joke in 2023 He was Barry ****ing Switzer
I like Dusty as a person, but Click built the type of pitching staff, particularly the bullpen that was Dusty proof. Unfortunately that eventually lead to Crane trying to do the same thing spending money on Hader.
Sabotaged 2023 how? Because of Chas McCormick who turned out to be complete a**? Or Diaz who swings out of his shoes at pitches out of the zone and doesn’t work walks? You’re a damn fool.
