Worst loss of the year? Yeah.

 

Ime is stubborn on rotation.

Stone can get tons of talent players but Ime won't play them.

 

There's not one person on our roster that anyone is afraid of. Until that changes, there's no way we win even one playoff series.

 

Rockets were 25th in FG%, 26th in 3 point percentage, and 23rd in free throw percentage before they came out here tonight and shot 38% from the field and 26% from 3

Rockets beat up and abuse the rim on a nightly basis…at home, that’s domestic violence…on the road, aggravated assault

I think Ime may have been punishing the starters and sacrificed the game to make a point to them. He was going to keep playing them until they turned it around.

Well, they didn't.

 

they give him a chance because he’s a 2nd overall pick and Stone decided to give him a 3/106 extension

creating your shot doesn’t mean that much when u always end up bricking it

motivation isn’t gonna make Green start being a good shooter or increase his skill level…none of that has anything to do with his mentality or interest level

the man can not shoot, and his skill level in comparison to other scorers is simply subpar

 

Warrior commenters even said Jalen leading the Rockets back - it was with Adam’s in game - he had a FT 2 layups the Alley and pass to Brooks for 3

I’m guessing you think some other player was the cause of those points to bring lead from 15 down to 2

 

Cade Cunningham will get called a bust on here, but Jalen still has superstar potential

How are we judging players?

 

our offensive system is horrid - it’s high screen / pnr … or dump to Alpi .. then Fred Jalen Bari or Brooks stand still and wait to brick a 3

 

The last we beat GS was before Covid lockdowns. Just wow

 

tari needs to stfu on social media if he isn't playing. this team cannot match his energy if he is not on the court.

 

Warriors get 15 wins in a row against the Rockets.

 

I see why they always downplay us.

 

One of the biggest problems with Jalen is he creates bad shots. He often reverts to dribble heavy isolation offense and just manoeuvres himself into difficult mid-rangers if he can't get to the rim. And if he does get to the rim he cops the worst whistle in the league and opposing big men just smash him for no consequence.

Not a good recipe for efficiency, and it looks like we're stuck with him for the time being

 

You're on page 55 of the post game thread. You trying to tell that to yourself to cope? I sure af am.

 

And not entirely wrong about being the man that comes out and sets the tone. I love Alperen's game, but somebody on our team needs to set the tone at some point every night. Tonight should've been Alpi. Almost every single night should be Alpi. He wasn't fighting for position low, he settled for shots that are beneath him, he was too far from the basket to be dangerous, he didn't run the offense in a way to get guys open often enough and he didn't do what makes him great. This was a team loss, but an opportunity to establish our style was missed by our leader.

I still believe in this whole team. I still believe Alperen Sengun is the offensive leader, but our style got muddied up by the simple defensive effort of an inferior team. Sengun sets the tone.

Alperen's job is to come out, set the tone, make teams adjust, get fouls, force substitutions, force team offense, pass quickly if the defense doubles, set the spacing, own rebounding on the defensive side, then take a step back when the tone is set. Enforce his style again when the game is on the line towards the end.

Not Alpi's fault at all but there are too many drives to a covered hoop by the whole team. Play the game of take what they give you. Dribble out if the hoop is covered. Get the ball back to Alpi when their defense has the hoop covered. Make it simple on offense! I don't understand how our principles don't include take-what-they-give-you.

Side note: I was super proud of Reed for taking an 8 foot floater instead of trying to take it to the rim tonight. Great decision. I'm not so proud of the overall team though. It's a uniform you're playing against, not the great Warriors team of the past. Grow up, franchise. Auras aren't real.
