I think the extra week was because he is a repeat offender. But it's noting worse than was typical 40 years ago. Darned, I had to add 2 decades.

I think 2 things can be true, Trevor slid late and Azeez led with his forearm, both are ill advised

I fully expect his team mates to stand behind him, his suspension is warranted after all he has done but it should have been 2 games. If nothing else, I hope it fires up his team, we don't seem to have that "spark" and if this provides that then I am here for it..................but at the end of the day, its probably nothing. My goal for the next 3 games is 1-2...............W L L

Apparently, other Jags players liked the post too. I say they should release Arik Armstead and we pick him up.

My goal for the next 3 games is WWW....settle for a WLW. Ravens aren't that good. I would punt the KC game and play backups; fck the NFL for making this type of schedule. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to have a team play 3 games in 10 days? Ridiculous.

All 3 are definitely winnable games:
    • Dolphins haven't beat teams with a winning record
    • Last four Chiefs wins were controversial
    • Ravens have trouble when Henry doesn't play well

Good stuff, if this is the thing that fires up the whole team it's coming at the right time.

If you look at this image, they are less than 3 yds from one another before Trevor began to slide. Azeez is FULL SPEED and chances are if he tries to pull up, he can put himself in danger by sustaining an injury. Trevor is 6'6, Azeez is 6'0 - 6'1, so naturally Azeez is going to be at his head neck area as Trevor is sliding.

The rule needs not to be so servere once a QB leaves the pockets, he's like anyone else

I think it boils down to this re: 3 game suspension:
    1) hit on T-Law (treating him like J-Law) as soon as he went into the fencing position I knew an ejection was coming and at least 1 game (Tua effect)

    2) the punch in the Bears game (esp, because he punched Roschon who wasn't really involved in threatening him - it looked like)

    3) previous history - esp. some of the borderline hits this year

Hence 3 games.... prolly should have at least 1 defensive player hearing the appeal, but NFL wanted to make an example so they can say "we're trying to protect players".... just ignore the 3 games in 10 days tho. Didn't help TLaw went on IR the same day the appeal was heard (but he prolly would have anyway when they lost that game).

NFL knew what they were doing. A few minutes BEFORE the suspension was announced, there was a report that Lawrence was going on the IR. 18 minutes AFTER the announcement of the suspension, there was another report that Lawrence would be having surgery for an AC Joint in his left shoulder. He wasn't going to play because because of that injury but decided to give it a go because he said he wanted to see if he could actually play through it.

Azeez has never been kicked out of a game nor suspended. There's no way he should've gotten 3 games. 2 should have been the max. Like you said, NFL was trying to make a statement.

Of course the suspension was going to be upheld. Why do I say that? The person hearing the appeal WORKS for the person/organization/rival that hates the Texans the most! Amy Adams! Azeez had no chance on winning that appeal.
