the g league is for players that don't know how to play. reed knows, he just lacks confidence and experience versus nba competition.

    Reed spelled backwards is Deer

he looks like a Deer out there. When the lights are on, he freezes.

    Rudolph the Reed Nose.

Udoka wants consistent good. If Udoka wants just consistent, there are plenty of people that can consistently put up nothing every game. Though, I will say Udoka has been more accepting of development than I expected which should help players progress (i.e., not be consistent).

Also, progressing is not consistent. Maybe Jabari will be a consistent good player one day, but it takes more than a good ten games stretch followed by one stinker to be consistenly good. I'd rather Jabari get better than be consistent (at least for now, once he's at his peak, sure consistency is good).

And he needs to dominate in the G to gain confidence in his game.

No rookie is consistent good. Anywhere. Not even Victor. You might get it from these Tristan Da Silva/Jaime Jacquez senior types with no upside that better understand schemes because they've been in college for 4 years. And they're almost always the same type of player. 6-6 to 6-9 wing/forwards that can defend and shoot a little bit. Even bigs like Clingan/Edey are going to get into foul trouble because they haven't yet learned the tricks of the trade. As good as you'll get at that position from a rookie was Lively last year being fed baskets by Luka.

He's coming along fine. He's not going to the G League. Someone else said it earlier. He needs to understand NBA level athletes. Not G League level athletes. Reed is our future at PG. Reed/Sengun/Amen are the trio. The other two spots are up for grabs (though Dillon is making his case for being here the full length of his contract).

Drawing conclusions on Reed Shepherd at this point is waaaaay too early. I agree, I would like him in the G league.

Yes, and Udoka doesn't care about consistency unless it is good. People throw around the word consistency in sports discussions like it is a good quality in every aspect. Udoka wants Reed to be better and does not want him to be consistent to how he's playing.

Reed is our future trade piece to help us get a Superstar at the SG or PF position...

I personally think Tari Eason Reed Sheppard and Jabari Smith Jr are the long term pieces on the Rockets that are not going anywhere. They fit with a successful winning team. Future improvement notwithstanding Sengun Green Whitmore & Thompson are players that need are more likely to need to some extent the opposite.

    Just my opinion.

I liked his aggressiveness tonight, but he needs to make some more threes.

Reed is playing more comfortably, but he has to start making those wide open shots.

I'm starting to think Reed is a victim of stagnant and predictable offense. He is hurting the team because he has to be extra aggressive to justify his time on the court, so he forces shots sometimes. I do think he is close to breaking out and getting more comfortable. I could see him giving us prime Seth Curry production at the end of this season, which may be closer to his ceiling than Steph.
