The computer you use to obfuscate your views is not a part of nature. Should we ban that?

Medical procedures to protect a woman's ability to conceive in the future are also not part of nature. Medical methods to increase fertilization are also not part of nature. Heart transplants, open heart surgery, cancer treatments, and the polio vaccine are not part of nature. Should we ban all of those as well?

What do all of those things have in common, that differ from abortion?

There aren't places that criminalize those procedures.

That's one thing. Why? What do they all fundamentally have in common that differ from abortion that might explain their differential treatment by society?

The others weren't previously constitutionally protected rights.

That doesn't explain it at all, especially since abortion was criminalized before it was "discovered" that the constitution protected abortion without mentioning it at all, try again.

I'll pass. Without being a medical doctor specializing in the area, I wouldn't want to presume to know more.

That's okay, it is very tough to figure out, maybe someone else will get it.

The debate on when the life begins is far from settled. Also the sanctity of a non-viability and mother's health and future reproductive ability also come in to play. It's been debated on here and elsewhere many many times, and isn't worth discussing again.

Very nebulous and fraught concept here; if the list above includes IVF, then you’re not correct according to some people, unless you (or someone) use every frozen fertilized egg.

Hell, some people would even say fellatio or male alone time to climax is ‘killing a form of life’

Better to just leave people the **** alone and stay out of their lives unless they’re hurting someone.

The fact that the thought this might play a role didn't even cross the mind of the enraged leftists is quite telling.

Even if one is ultimately for reasonable abortion rights for women (as I am), there is still a careful balancing of rights and interests to be done. The far leftists only follow what they have been told.

That isn't what the Catholic Church has told me - IVF kills a lot of life, more than an abortion according to what I have been told by some of my Jesuit brothers.

Let's hope that people keep that same zest for life when it comes to the death penalty, sending missiles to foreign nations that kill people and trade restrictions that prevent clean water for people... and of course the large corporations that pollute the waterways and those against vaccinations that save many lives.

Just need some sort of consistency - as it seems like everyone likes to pick and choose their battles on "life" and "preserving lives".

Pie-in-the-sky, right? These so-called foundational beliefs somehow also always fluid based on greed-driven rationalization.

It's all bullshit. I'm moving to a mountain in the middle of nowhere. Which is also on a beach where I can drink beer and surf.
