I have a Sony HDTV that I recently moved from the bedroom to the living room. Ever since I did that, I see 3 white light spots on the screen that I can't get rid of. I've tried adjusting the backlight, factory reset, unplugging for 60 seconds...all the fixes I've found on the intertubes. Still seeing these 3 spots. Any suggestions? Also I have a Samsung HDTV that keeps freezing, turning off and then turning back on again. Like every 1 or 2 minutes. I've tried every fix I've found. Factory reset worked for a day, then it started doing it again. Apparently this is very common for Samsungs. I'll never buy a Samsung again.
Yeah, @Buck Turgidson is right, you ****ed it up moving it. TVs are almost disposable these days and any current Walmart house brands are far superior in terms of picture quality to any Sony or Samsung you bought just a few years ago. Some Sceptre TVs have the same screens as Samsungs that cost 4x+. Relegate the old sets to the kid's rooms or the garage, buy new on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
I already have an LG 65 inch in my Amazon cart. Was just wondering if there was an easy fix before I pressed proceed to checkout.
Get the new TV. Unless it's under manufacturer's warranty, doing anything at all will cost so much that you might as well just buy a new one and sell the old one. If you want issues like you described covered in the future you need a liberal extended warranty or Costco.
For real? My Sony 65 inch is about 4 years old and hate to admit I look for "brands" when it comes to things like a TV, but maybe I am doing it wrong. I was at Best Buy Friday (will never do that again) and they had some great deals on the OLE types but also notice that when I walk by the TV`s at Target and some off brand catches my eye the picture is really good. The only thing that stopped me from buying one is that I don't REALLY need one but when there that cheap it's hard to resist
Walmart is/was selling a 48" RokuTv by Phillips for $150 (extra bedroom tv)...the bigger ones are even stupider price-wise
You could get a 43 inch TV for $100 just a couple days ago. TVs are dirt cheap right now and the quality is good enough at the low end.
I hear "in my cart" Do any of yall trust Amazon to ship a TV to you? Instead of picking it up yourself?
Oh hell no, I'm Ted + Cobb + Gehrig Not quite: All I can tell you is that Perry Farrell couldn't surf for s**t. Great on the stage.
Hahaha. When I saw them pre-implosion on this most recent tour, he talked on stage about surfing with his son.
