In my experience it's true about 99.9999999999999% of the time, so imma stick with it. It takes hundreds if not thousands of hours to understand Bitcoin, so if anyone is "for" bitcoin from the moment they heard about it, it signals to me that they probably didn't think critically enough about it. There's a healthy skepticism that exists before all the knowledge gaps get filled in. The idea that someone never doubted it sounds more foolish than wise to me, tbh.
'the people who got it right were really wrong' is an unhealthy take. Learn to internalize or you will never improve. The proper attitude to have is ' what did others see that i didnt? Why didnt i see it?'
The idea that you understood Bitcoin from the moment someone told you about it is not believable. I think you may be getting hung up on the idea of "for it". In this context "for it" is not meant to mean you support it in theory, it means you understand it, know it is a good idea, and know it will succeed. Anybody can be "for" something in theory, but having the practical and technical knowledge is a different matter. Someone can tell you they have an idea of how to separate money from the state, and you can be "for" doing that but it doesn't mean you understand how or why it works.
I'll wait until XRP gets to $10 then MAYBE I'll flip a few hundred coins for another BTC. Well, XRP grew up and put his seat at the other end of the table. But seriously, lol at XRP being a shitcoin. A centralized shitcoin is like UNI or CRO. The memes of 2017 becoming true, you love to see it.
Once you can use it as actual currency it'll get wild. Just like electric cars. Maybe someday, maybe soon?
You really can't use Bitcoin as actual currency. Transaction are very slow and can have high fees. It's basically one big ledger and a whole bunch of computers verify.
You didnt understand btc then and you dont now. Eventually you will copitulate and buy some out of self preservation, but you will be a late adopter. HFSP
Yes, maybe someday I will copitulate and go to the store and try to pay with them. I have them, just like I have stock shares. Neither can buy me groceries.
Why would you spend the best performing asset of all time on groceries when the store takes dollars? The person i responded to said bitcoin was too slow and costly for small purchases. Hes wrong. starbucks, pizza hut, mcdonalds, and walmart all take btc and have for years (though not in the US). Not to mention the countless number of online retailers who take btc.
