the two 1rounder picks could be enough to get him.. and the Suns picks would not touch Lottery status anytime soon - I'm afraid and the window might be the 3 years locked in with JG and DB after that Amen gets paid a SuperMAX and JG+DB are off to FREEAGENCY
yeah I’ve been super happy with Bari’s recovery after a bad start. pretty consistent for the last 10 games or so; definitely trending in the right direction. Really starting to look good defensively. At this point, especially with the contract, I’d prioritize moving Jalen. If Bari can end up averaging 37% + from deep by the end of the year, I think him and Tari will be locked up this offseason.
Grant avg number of games played since 2020 - 54.5 Grant avg rebounds per game career - 3.9 impressive for a pf, huh? Grant 30 years old Jabari 21 years old. Grant career 3 pt % 36.3 fg % 45.3 ft% 74.8. 34M annual salary next year. Jabari this year 3pt % 36 fg% rebouds 6.5 ft% 86 we don't need a forward. we need a guard if Jalen doesn't learn to shoot. If he does we don't need anything until next year.
19/20 Denver 71 games (team wasn't Tanking) 20/21 Det......tanking for Cade Cunningham 21/22 Det......tanking for Chet/Banchero/Jabari 22/23 Port.....tanking for Wemby 23/24 Port......traded Dame...,.TANKING for Sarr (lol)....no choice w/o Dame WOW YOU ARE A GENIUS....Please solve world hunger next when you get a chance @$$clown
You are the most arrogant a**hole on this forum other than BTG. You can call me all the names you want. In the end you're not a warrior you're just an internet punk with bad opinions that never come to fruition, because the guys with real information have real plans not dreamed up scenarios of a frustrated man-child. We aren't giving up 2 frp's for Grant and we will make a significant trade for a youngish star in the next couple of years. Grant is oft injured vet making 34m year that plays forward, a position we have 3 guys that are better than him play.
When Grant was trying against us. Our own commentator states Grant looked like the best player on the court that game Because I know what I'm talking about. Basketball. BTG looks like a genius next to you......and he's a jagoff knucklehead that gets everything wrong. Paid shill used to stir things up here. You are just a Dunce that wishes he knew half as much as me. Jealously will get you nowhere.....learn the game
Trade doesn't work. Tate makes $7.5m Curry $2m and Charlotte is over the cap - salary matching rules apply (125%+100k), Charlotte could only take back $2.6m.
I looked at some of these recent trade proposals but if we aren't making a big move with Green's contract then we should be trading for a competent backup big because Ime clearly doesn't trust Jock and Adams is pretty washed. I'd target Vucevic, Adams+Jock contract works out and being 34 he should be cheap cost maybe a 2nd or two. Also, CHI has one of the worst front offices.. literally gave up Caruso for Giddey straight up. Anothe target is Rob Williams on the Blazers, if they are sellers (they should be), they have a center jam right now so taking him for Jock swap + 2nds shouldn't be too hard. They can decline Jock's salary next offseason to free up space or we can swap him for Adams, that works too contract wise.
Yes. The Rockets have most of their MLE left as a trade exception and I think Seth is on a minimum deal such that his salary might not even count regarding salary matching such that the MLE might not even be needed. Even if the Rockets sent Tate, Charlotte has flotsam on expiring deals that can match salary.
I’d like to find a way to turn any combo of these expiring guys into someone or something of value: Adams $12.6 mil Jock $8 mil Tate $7 mil Jeff Green $8 mil that’s $35 mil in expirings that we get no value for if we don’t make a move by the deadline. I believe we gave up four 2nd rounders for Adams. I’d keep Holliday because he’s actually one of our best shooters.
Pretty similar, but I'd divide it up like this... For untouchable (and this is stretching untouchable), I'd have Sengun, Amen, and Tari. FVV, while not untouchable, might as well be untouchable for all intents and purposes as salary, Rockets needs just make it impractical to trade him. Brooks, similar to FVV, but I think there might be a team or two that could make something work for his contract, but probably won't. Jabari and Sheppard, I would not want to trade them, but they are not untouchable for me. I would not trade them for a guy that would only be here for a season or 2 though.
i guess. what i am saying is the rockets "window" is not open. they have 0.000000000000000000% chance of winning it this year. They have to take steps in that direction first. you do not just instantly get there. the precedent has been set those are the ages of the best players on championship teams. trading for grant changes absolutely nothing in that regard.
Yeah given the fact that right now we are one of the top teams in the West, that puts the front office in a position to NOT move key rotation players under no circumstances unless a mega star becoming available... which isn't going to happen mid season anyways. So that means Stone's probably only going to look at using salaries for players that aren't contributing to bundle together maybe with an inconsequential pick or two to get more depth to the rotation to help with a playoff run. I also like the idea like with last year with the Adams trade in essentially doing your Summer of 2025 free agency early if you can. Try to make the deal at the deadline for a player you are targeting as a rotation veteran in free agency next Summer now if you can get him on a good trade. I think the Rockets will probably target shooting though at the deadline. Like a Buddy Hield type of wing shooter is something I could see Stone trying to snag. Hield probably isn't available but someone like that. Regardless I think it'll be a pretty quiet trade deadline unless the Bucks decide to trade Giannis or something crazy like that, and the Rockets can't help themselves but get into that.
I agree that Grant does nothing. On chance of winning, while unlikely, it is much greater than a 0.000000000000000000% chance of winning. Even in the likely scenario the Rockets don't win this year, they should not punt this year as the Rockets young guys need the developmental minutes in the playoffs (i.e., while they shouldn't go after someone like Grant, they also shouldn't look at getting rid of the 2 rotation vets this year either) for the future.
Man I’d like to keep Unc Jeff. Dude does a lot for the team on the sidelines which sometimes doesn’t make it on to the broadcasts. Always keeps the spirits of the young guys up. Talks to the refs when some questionable shizz is going on. Great locker vet.
