You're right. Moon only beat up his wife once and allegedly sexually assaulted two women.

 

If I recall correctly, Moon's stuff came out towards the end of his career. I also think the media probably protected a lot of those guys back in those days. The stuff most of them probably did around the locker room or "privately" would probably get them kicked off the team nowadays. Moon slapped or choked his wife at one point and had allegations of sexual harrassment against a Vikings cheerleader settled out of court, I think. Hell, I think he had another allegation settled out of court just a couple of years ago - one that involved an employee of his marketing company or something. But like I said, I think most of his stuff came to light way later in his career and maybe after he left the Oilers (?), but I can't recall.

 

Both are POS off of the field.

On the field they are QB's that lead their teams in blowing the 2 biggest leads in NFL playoff history.

I wonder what comes from this lawsuit against Buzbee.

 

The run and shoot became easier and easier to game-plan against once the receivers were no longer elite and teams started disguising where the pressure was going to come from.

In todays game, that offense wouldn't last a quarter, let alone 4-5 seasons.

Moon did just enough in front of the camera/media...including charities, public appearances, kid's football camps, local TV shows. In the pre-internet era, that made you teflon as far as public image was concerned.

 

Moon was a philanderer of the highest order. A friend of mine’s “girlfriend” was one of Warren’s side pieces back in the day…

 

It was pretty hard for me to learn all this about Moon. I was just a high school kid and early college kid when al that broke open. So disappointing.

I tell my kids that if the standard DEVOTED HUSBAND AND FATHER engraving is on my headstone, I ****ING MEANT IT. Grateful for the examples of a lot of people who ****ed that up, but that ain’t gonna be me, friends. I ****ing meant it.

I guess the difference between the two is that Watson was rewarded after multiple accusations of sexual assault by being gifted a contract that was not only millions, but almost a quarter of a billion dollars.

 

Not many people know this.

 

If you lived in Missouri City and shopped at old Foodarama on Cartwright Road, there's a decent chance that you heard about and/or saw some evidence attesting to Moon's accusations. His wife was a regular shopper there and physical injuries can only be covered so much. Sadly, that was not exactly rare to see or hear about then. Different times... I saw a lot of it first hand considering I lived nearby and worked there.

At the same time, a lot of those Oiler players had side pieces. A few of my high school (Sugarland Dulles) teachers were side pieces to the Oilers players. Moon, Hill, etc.

 

Now those female teachers are the perpetrators instead.
