Some guys come into the league with hype (e.g. Wemby, Doncic) but others have to show it in the playoffs before media gives them their flowers. I think they’ll recognize his talents when they see him do it with a national audience in a meaningful game.

 

Jokic was so much lighter and faster back then.

Imagine if they had committed right away to Sengun like Denver did with Jokic how much further ahead this team would be already. F'ing Sil@ss.

 

Sengun played 1 fewer mpg as a rookie and 1 more mpg as a sophomore than jokic, and jokic was a year older.

Jokic shared his minutes with Nurkic who was a first round pick. I think it was always clear that Jokic was the better player but there were a lot of people who thought of Nurkic as the better prospect. It took the Nuggets a while to commit to the Joker.

 

Love that the great Bill Worell is throwing subtle shade at Jokic to end that clip - haha.
