After two bad shots to start the OT, Sengun owned Gobert in the paint. I can only imagine how much more efficient he'd be with a league average shooting guard that can make open catch and shoot 3's around 38%+.
Someone commented that many of Sengun’s assists are wasted, but in fairness one could argue the same for potential assists to him. He is missing a lot of easy shots or not taking a lot of open jumpers. He played a great all around game, but doubt. The expansion of his game to some rim protection, better foot speed, and better rebounding deserves praise. But for him to become a truly generational player he needs to develop a fluid and reliable outside shot (as well as clean up the bunnies). If he does that he will really be unstoppable and a top 5-10 player in the league. Get a better shooting coach and take 2-300 jumpers a day.
Okay, whatever you say man. Sengun was bad in the first half. Missed basically everything. The second half was a different story and he dominated Gobert. Not to mention Gobert just grabbing and fouling him the whole game. Dunno how he didn't foul out.
lol did you actually watch the game? Whenever Sengun decided to push back against Gobert and assert himself, he absolutely dominated. If you think otherwise, you either (1) didn't watch; or (2) don't know ball.
I think his offensive struggles are coming from getting used to giving 110% on defense. His shooting percentage will come back up once he gets used to doing it every single night. The man is playing amazing defense now and just seems to get better and better.
He definitely had some great/dominant moments late, but the 22 pts on 25 attempts still happened. The first half still counts as part of the game. We (rightfully) rip jalen for his horrific efficiency.
By the way, @astrosrule was absolutely the biggest anti-Brooks poster on this forum. He clearly just enjoys being wrong.
He's also just a hater. Because Sengun only took 23 shots today. So he's just making up numbers to make it seem worse.
Still hate him and can’t wait for him to be off the team lol but he has definitely played better than i expected. I assume he will regress to normal like last season but it’s been nice so far.
If you still "hate" him, then you care more about your biases than the Rockets. He has the best on/off stats on the team. Root elsewhere.
I always hate the dirty players, that’s never gonna change. If we got draymond i would root against him every game. Don’t hate brooks to that level but same idea
lol that's never how it's counted. That's why free throws make your ts% go up.... wtf 22 points on 25 shots is something Jalen green wishes he could actually do.
