Yes, this is what happens when you finance budget deficits with T-bill issuances... and the currency in circulation increased 60% in the last 4 years. Calling it money printing is the easiest way to describe it to the economically illiterate -- such as yourself. GOOD DAY
THEY may deserve it. But, in this scenario we will all pay for it. I'm no-Trump supporter but the Dems put out a highly underqualified candidate, and did not get out to vote. So spread the blame to both sides. We may not have voted for him or this, but we are the ones who will live it every day. My wife and I are solid, but I do worry about my folks who are on a retirement budget at this point. Basically, we can all shout at the clouds, but it isn't going to change a thing. Just crossing fingers and hoping for the best. At this point it's all we can do.
This is a point I made a few times during the election. Yes it is your right to not vote for either. What that means is you tacitly accept the winner. Certainly Harris has flaws but Trumps policies are very likely going to lead to economic disaster. Even Musk admitted to that before the election. Trump’s cabinet picks are unqualified and many are known grifters. None of this should be surprising he said that he would pick people like that. To say, “both sides declare blame” is ignoring what was already widely known about Trump over distaste and speculation over Harris.
The basic Krux of my statement is no amount of bitcching on this forum is going to change anything. So many posters come here to pre blame Trump before the guy has even taken office. Predicting doom and gloom. I'm not saying this is going to be a successful 4 years. But, I'm saying no one knows yet. Everyone was upset we beat the Colts and got Stroud, to draw a parallel, and look how that turned out last year. Can we at least let him Fuc$ it up? He promised tariffs and a big, beautiful wall last time out. What did we get a limited avocado tax and 2 miles of fencing. Words mean nothing in government. Everyone needs to step away from the cliff. If anyone thinks that anyone running for office is doing so with the mindset of destroying America, they need clarity. No American is in the business of purposely destroying America. On a personal level, Trump is despicable, but those who voted for him saw his ideology in line with theirs, and rape be damned. Sorry it's not my thought process, but those who voted for him DO NOT CARE about the other stuff. Those who come here and continually blame people and repeat the same old tired points are just the needle skipping on the record player. It's just tired. If anyone thinks Trump is going to turn our democracy into something else other than a form of government, we have fought to maintain for the last 200+ years they are a true pessimist at heart. Just think the complainers up in here will have 4 years of low hanging fruit to converse about. The memes will write themselves.
I've always considered Trader_Jorge's account to be a troll account. I don't know who's troll account he is, but someones. Or maybe he has no alt accounts and really is just brain dead.
arent you the one who claimed you didnt vote? if you believe someone is the "worst candidate ever" then isnt it your patriotic duty to vote against them?
Traitor George, you're confused and all mixed up. the stock market hitting many records highs, under Biden, attributable to the legislative successes, such as infrastructure bill CHIP act Fed's fine-tuning of the money supply during the Biden presidency Powell actually raised rates or pause (the opposite of printing money)
Not necessarily, I did not like or intend to vote for either candidate but was very focused on the down ballot since my vote might make a difference. But since I live in NY state, I decided to write in a vote for my wife. We voted on our anniversary day. If I thought there was any chance that Harris would not carry the state that would have changed things, but as it stands a vote up top for anyone but a Dem in NY is the equivalent of a throw away vote. So why not show my wife how much I care for her. Didn't cost a penny. Playin 3-D Chess up in here.
LOL, you sound like you don't follow the economy at all. What an awful response. How did you think it was good enough to even post? Wow. Economics isn't your strength, amigo. GOOD DAY
Traitor George needs to heeds Abe Lincoln's sage advise Better to remain silent and be thoght of as a fool than to speak to remove all doubts
Why dont you respond with your arguments instead of attacking him if you really have a point? Why dont you tell me why most economists said Trump was bad for the economy, please tell me what that is? Do you know more than them?
I did that numerous times, bringing facts to the table and successfully destroying his weak position. Most economists, but more importantly most businessmen and investors, believe Trump is excellent for the economy. P.S. It's why he got elected.
