    Correct.

Anyone who understands world history also knows that the leftists put Ayatollah Khomeini in charge in Iran.

Crickets from the leftists here, as usual.

There are the open Jew haters like @glynch and then there are all the silent Jew haters or those who don't openly say it but express their hate and anger against the prime minister of Israel rather than against Hamas. People like @Deckard. And then there are all the silent enablers of Jew hate, which is pretty much almost all the other leftists.

Is that the guy that Reagan paid and empowered to win his election?

After the release of the hostages on January 20, 1981, mere minutes after Republican challenger Ronald Reagan's inauguration, some charged that the Reagan campaign had made a secret deal with the Iranian government whereby the Iranians would hold the hostages until after Reagan was elected and inaugurated.

No. It's the guy who was hosted by France and propped up by an international alliance of socialists and Islamists.

Leftists are literally making the exact same horrible mistakes again on a global scale they made when they helped Khomeini take power and install his murderous regime.

Because they all hate freedom, capitalism and "the West", leftists globally invite Islamists into their societies and enable them. They think having a common enemy makes them their allies. That also explains dumbass crap like "Queers for Palestine".

Well, they did the same nonsense with the Ayatollah. After he took power, he murdered the leftists. They were the useful idiots.

Today, they are being idiots on a global scale.

The overthrow of the Shah of Iran in 1979 and the subsequent rise of Ayatollah Khomeini as the leader of the Islamic Republic were influenced by a complex interplay of domestic and international forces, including the role of various leftist groups and international socialists. Here's an explanation of their involvement:

    1. Opposition to the Shah's Regime
    • The Shah's regime was widely criticized for its authoritarian rule, human rights abuses, and close alignment with Western powers, especially the United States.
    • Iranian leftists, including socialist and Marxist groups such as the Tudeh Party (a pro-Soviet communist party) and the more radical Marxist-Leninist Fedayeen-e-Khalq, opposed the Shah as a symbol of imperialism and capitalism.
    • International socialist movements supported these Iranian groups in solidarity with their anti-imperialist stance, viewing the Shah as a puppet of Western imperialism.
    2. Collaborative Opposition
    • In the lead-up to the 1979 revolution, there was a broad coalition of opposition groups that included secular leftists, Islamists, and nationalists. While these groups had divergent ideological goals, they united in their opposition to the Shah.
    • International socialists often provided moral and, in some cases, material support to this coalition, emphasizing the need to dismantle what they perceived as a U.S.-backed dictatorship.
    3. Support for Anti-Imperialism
    • International socialist and leftist movements, particularly in Europe and Latin America, championed the Iranian revolution as part of a broader global struggle against imperialism. They saw the revolution as a potential model for other anti-Western liberation movements.
    • This support often overlooked or underestimated the ideological differences between the leftists and the Islamists within the revolutionary coalition.
    4. The Role of Khomeini
    • Khomeini was adept at framing the revolution as an anti-imperialist struggle, which resonated with international leftists. His rhetoric against the U.S. and its support for Israel aligned superficially with socialist and leftist narratives.
    • International leftists, in many cases, underestimated the theocratic nature of Khomeini's ideology and his vision for an Islamic Republic.
    5. Post-Revolution Disillusionment
    • After the revolution, Khomeini and his supporters consolidated power and systematically sidelined or eliminated leftist groups. Many members of the Tudeh Party and Fedayeen-e-Khalq were arrested, executed, or forced into exile.
    • International socialists and leftists expressed regret and criticism after the revolution, realizing that their support had helped empower a regime that was deeply opposed to their values of secularism and socialism.
    6. Lessons and Criticisms
    • The revolution exposed the risks of alliances based solely on opposition to a common enemy without a clear agreement on post-revolutionary goals.
    • Critics argue that international socialists and leftists failed to adequately analyze the ideological goals of Khomeini’s movement, leading to unintended consequences.
    Summary
International socialists and leftists played a role in empowering Khomeini’s radicals by supporting the broader coalition that sought to overthrow the Shah. Their anti-imperialist solidarity and shared opposition to the Shah’s regime facilitated this alliance. However, they underestimated Khomeini’s ability to dominate the post-revolutionary landscape, leading to a betrayal of the socialist vision and the suppression of leftist groups in Iran.

I would like to see us go further left for a couple more years. As the window moves left, it forces out the true hateful Marxist who relish their power to no ends. In politics, its the McConnell's, Paul Ryan, Cheneys, Pelosi's, Schumers, and Obamas. We already know Bernie, AOC, Waters, ect ...

I have discovered there are several people on this forum who will lock step with their party and justify rounding up undesirables and deplorables.

That was the fatal mistake of the DNC by going left in a nation that doesn't want to with their desire to give tax credits to create new small businesses as if people living paycheck to paycheck barely making rent payments are a tax credit away from starting a small business or their messaging or creating "the most lethal military on the planet"(literal words out of Harris) or them dangling the Cheneys, bastions of leftism, in front of voters as if there is some magical Cheney stab demographic out there or their desire to tell Americans, one of the most infamous investment banking institutions in Goldman Sacs notorious for the housing crash in 2008 endorses their economic policy or tackling the fake "border security" crisis by buying into right wing framing and claiming they are the true party of "border security".

The problem is definitely Democrats just always pushing to he left.
