Let's be clear, very clear.........This is in large measure on the COACHING STAFF! These are matters of discipline, conditioning, repetition, drills, play calling, adjustments, focus, etc. The Texans have all the marks of an UNDISCIPLINED TEAM. They are sloppy, unfocused, and way, way too lackadaisical about well, everything. If I am the owner, I make changes. They say the same platitudes after every loss. That is not going to cut it. What are you going to change. Don't just say, we got to get better. Do the things to Make You Better.
Seriously people are looking way too much into the what couldve/should've been....look at the fcking results. That's all that matters. And it sucks
We can go in circles talking about this that and the other but unfortunately this season is toast. When you look at the root cause it comes down to the offensive line and coaching. Those 2 variables aren’t gonna magically change in 5 games. Huge waste of talent and a huge waste of momentum coming in from last year. Number 1 priority in the offseason is the offensive line. What a friggin disgrace.
Not sure why Texans fans are down. The Texans are in the worst division in football by a mile. The Texans will go 2-3 down the stretch and be 9-8. That wins the division. The above was always the ceiling. No one ever thought the Texans could win a playoff game. The future is not bright, but hopefully the right moves are made in the off-season. Then they can start to pull truck out of the ditch. Takes time. And then roll on from there. Keep your head up.
The results have been sh**ti but that's the curveball the season threw our way along with being the most undisciplined team since 2010. But some just want to quit on the season because things aren't going the way they were supposed to go on paper. And it's not going to be easy next week when Josh Allen already has a history of making Tunsil a nervous Nelly but games can still be won. Win the division whichever way and hope this habit of Stroud not setting his base on throws goes away in the new season in January. It's mental.
So much for the Cowboys game being the "get right" game. Yesterday was the worst collective performance they have had all season. I have never seen where all three phases took turns choking away opportunities, making awful mistakes, and failing to perform: The defense had 8 sacks but still gave up multiple explosive plays to a pretty crappy QB. When the Defense did make a big play or caused a turnover, the offense didn't do crap with it. After coming back from a 10 point deficit to tie the game before the half, CJ with an INT that gave away 3 critical points. Fairbairn inexcusably missing a 28 effing yarder late. On top of that you have what is now the usual...CJ missing receivers, penalties, O-Line, 2nd half offensive futility, bad play calling, turnovers. Most disappointing is CJ...Bobby, the O-Line, and bad penalties don't put him in the best position to succeed, I get that...but a lot of his errors are unforced. This is not the guy we saw last year, my fear is, is this the new norm for him??
Go look at the 90% chance of 3 teams from the North to get in the playoffs right now. Just a matter of seeds. You can witness the battle down the stretch in the best division in football. The Packers NEVER have hung division titles. But look up how many division titles the Pack has. The Packers have bigger fish to fry. Get your popcorn ready for the NFC playoff run. OneTeamOneNation PackerNation!
3rd best is best case scenario for the Pack. 1-2 in division. Owned by Detroit and Minny and barely beat a rookie led Bears team.
