I mean they would have beat the Lions if not for FG kicking not going their way. They were actually dominating the Lions until of course the 2nd half where the offense goes to sleep.

This is the oddest thing to me...he's supposed to be a ZBS WCO guy but we see none of that. None of it.

The run offense is just man to man block your guy, beat your guy, and hope Mixon makes something happen.

We have zero chance of beating KC on the road.

Baltimore at home sure it's possible, but knowing the Texans it'll still be infuriating. 27-0 lead at halftime win 29-28. I'll take it.

That's really bad. I didn't realize it was that pathetic.

I can’t argue with any of that. But in the NFL today these teams lose to (or play way too close with) teams they’re better than constantly. If the Ravens can lose to the Browns or Raiders, they can absolutely lose to the Texans.

They're also usually tough as nails at home.

The defense has overall been good though like...again, we don't have the wins we do because of our offense.

Each game is different, defenses have bad games, it happens. But the offense scores ONE TD the team wins.

Of course the defense deserves blame but the offense is a FAR bigger issue than the defense. It's not even close. We win the TO battle AND STILL LOSE GAMES.

That is insane but it happens MAINLY because the offense can't score even when given half the field to do so. At that point the defense is going "Here's free points." and the offense is like "Ehhh, nevermind."

The adjustments in those games, that's the offense. The defense does adjust. The offense comes out in the 2nd half and can't score TDs.

As for it being Demeco's fault, okay, but I think things are getting a little overboard comparing him to other poor coaches and stuff. You can't let perfect be the enemy of good. This is the first season of this team even having expectations, lets see how the team actually reacts to failing to meet those expectations. They thought they were a contending team, they and we are learning they are not, lets see how they react to that.

CJ throwing the INT right before the half to give them 3 points when you're SUPPOSED TO RUN THE BALL!

Mixon with the illegal shift to cancel out the TD.

This team keep playing like this, they're gonna be the 2023 Jaguars.

Well I agree it doesn't matter in the end but it kind of does to me because it shows the team is talented. I think it shows that not everything is wrong here, there are things that are not right (the OC, Oline) that if fixed, we are there.

That's why I'm like hold on with Demeco. Give him a bit more time, I see the vision, they just have some issues they have to fix in the organization and its not going to get fixed this year.

We don't know what's been said too. I know Demeco talked about after the Jets game had some vague comment about the offensive playcalling, so they could be having this discussion but like I said...

It's almost like Slowik is out there betting the over on rushing yards every game, it's insane how dedicated he is to running the ball up the middle when its clearly not working.

Also, can I just say, it is INSANE at how ineffective it really is. Teams that can’t reliably convert on 3rd and short yardage with the running game are playing with one arm behind their back. I’m shocked at how bad they are at it, especially given how good Mixon is.

To be clear, I'm talking specifically about today. Zero excuse for that defense, which is supposed to be a strength, to let Will ****ing Levis do all that. There just isn't. They've ****ed around in other games too but I'm talking about today.

The Titans offense has been a disaster this year.

But to be clear I'm not giving the offense a pass. The offense has been a trainwreck in the second half of games. 1 touchdown, and a bullshit one at that, in the second half since the Patriots game. My argument is that the offense is Demeco's fault. He's the ****ing head coach. It blows my mind that so many people act like "well the defense has been pretty good this year, it's not demeco's fault", when we are talking about a ****ing head football coach.

I like running the football. I can't stand the lack of execution, and the specific types of runs in specific situations.

The most frustrating aspect to all of this is how bad CJ's body language looks now. Regardless of whose fault it is (and trust me, there are a TON of culprits, including CJ himself), the last thing anybody should be doing is hanging their head. Get out there and fix what's wrong. And ultimately, it should be on Demeco to do it. There's no buy-in from the players, and no fire coming from the offense whatsoever. Demeco silos himself off to the defense, and the offense is suffering for it. Slowik is no leader, and it just doesn't seem like he brings anything to the table from a man-management standpoint.

What I would like Demeco / Nick to do after this clusterfudge in anticipation of the off-season (were real changes can get made):
    1) fire Cole Strausser (OL coach) (try to hire Rick Dennison as OL coach, but NFL / Saints say no even tho it's a "promotion" b/c still in-season)
    2) promote Cole Popovich to OL coach (chefs from the same kitchen, but it sends a stronger message to the team about spilling the soup)
    3) silently demote Bobby (send him to the booth to "call plays")
    4) hire Kubiak as a "offensive consultant" / "he is just relaying what Bobby is calling" ;)
    5) sign Desmond King II away from Baltimore (not sure if he wants to come back)
    6) Elevate King to the Jalen Pitre role (Pitre to IR looks like)
    7) Give Kendrick Green snaps at LG
    8) Send Jeff Okudah to PS (I had hope, but.... yeah)
    9) Sign any of the following to play COVERAGE safety (2 of these if King doesn't want to return)
    - Lewis Cine (BUF-PS)
    - Andre Chachere (AZ - PS) remember him??? he was decent as a Texan
    - Dane Cruikshank (ATL - PS)
    - JT Woods (CHI - PS) this guy had the skills / measureables to be a coverage safety and showed it while in college; has NOT shown it in NFL (so far)
    -
Darius Rush (KC - PS) currently a CB, but looks to have tools to play coverage safety; could also provide intel on KC
    - Eric Rowe (PIT - PS) BDN should know him from NE; savvy vet who used to have solid coverage skills; still does?
    - Kendall Sheffield (NYJ - PS) former Texan; Ft. Bend native; might be solid as a coverage safety
    -
Mark Perry (NEP - PS) was a Texan for 10 days or so; CJ's HS buddy so maybe help restore some of his HS swagger; young / inexperienced
    - Miles Battle (NEP - PS) has tools to be solid coverage DB, but young; Htown native

Heck I even considered bring back Kareem (currently on BUF's PS).

In the off-season, hire Klint from Saints to be Asst HC / OC.

I know it's somewhat knee jerk... but just a frustrated fan at this point

I bet the analytics say to do it... I honestly feel like Bobby comes up with a game plan pre-game and refuses to deviate from it.

He knows the other coaches tendencies and what their team has run in the past in certain games and situations. The other team's D coordinator does as well and just switches up. Bobby isn't ready for the shift. Like Mike Tyson said (in the past), "everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face" (i.e. what are you going to do when faced with adversity).

Last year (& some this year), some of our biggest plays have been "off-script"

Our redzone offense is pure garbage because we waste downs with inside running plays which are only useful in that situation if there is like a yard to go.

Like in the rz your best chance at scoring is spreading the defense out and putting it in your QBs hands, not running it up the middle.
