Really enjoyed this series, best animation I've seen, even more than the Spiderverse movies. The story is compelling as well.
it's top notch quality, absolutely up there with the Spiderverse movies, although quality is debatable and subjective. Both are amazing.
Animation? Yes. Anime? Nah. Either way, absolutely fantastic show. Only 2 animations my wife has ever watched as an adult (who only likes live action) are Arcane and Spiderverse movies.
True, it's animation and not from Japan. But yes, I would say that Blue Eye Samurai are thier best works so far. I didn't know Netflix had it in them until I caught it later and was surprised.
If you believe in Genetic Memory, I suppose there's a piece of me that was influenced there; my grandfather served in the Marines in WWII, fought for then occupied Okinawa. He had fond memories of the native people there.
Great show. I enjoyed the first season more. It was a more cohesive story, mainly because it focused on Vi and Jinx primarily. Season 2 had more plot lines for the characters that got very hard to follow until it converged in the final episode. Still a magnificent series.
Is this woke in any way? I'm about to start watching the Dune series and may want to give this a try afterwards....
