This was another poor execution high effort game. It really probably shouldn't have been as close as it was. It's hard to be too upset when they are clearly giving max effort, but damn they have to play smarter and shoot better. Jalen and FVV were 1 for 15 from three. Hard to win like that.

Another under 30% shooting game from 3. Hard to win in this league like that.

Disappointing night but Rockets are still 3rd in the West in record and point-diff.

In losses, every game had been close except one.

FVV won't shoot 32.1% 3PT for the entire season.

Future looks bright for a Top 4 seed.

Deserved loss, allowed Simons to just go coast-to-coast several times and that’s just inexcusable. Plus we’re all hesitating on shooting threes and Green just going 1-on-1 is not the answer. Have to do better on offense and recognize what’s going on, such poor awareness by a few guys, Tari was atrocious at it. Just because you give energy, you cannot just will the ball into the basket.

Passing up on an open three for a drive into 2-3 guys is also never good, even if you make it. Jabari had one on a fast break, flat tired it.Jalen had a few, Sengun had a few, but to be fair, referees not calling 3 seconds on Blazers was just ridiculous. They had sometimes even 3 guys just in the paint for a good 3-5 seconds. Because we couldn’t hit our open threes they just swarmed Sengun. And I hate how we didn’t cut, save a few times, like the one by Amen that was just beautiful.

But all in all we fought back, made it a game with the right group of guys - Tari did not deserve to be out there - and for FVV to just go Harden there is a very bad idea. Even if you get nudged. What ref is going to make that call?! And then leave it up to him to call it, do not just assume and throw it up. Also that mental breakdown of his, sheeshh…pointing to every ref and telling them their b****es and then make contact with one. Stupid ass.

Kudos to the Blazers, they have some serious talent. And we really need to shore up our offense, because it’s getting ridiculously bad sometimes with just 1-on-1 basketball and watching Jalen or Sengun go to work.

Hopefully it there are no underlying issues. I felt last year that the players were not fully adhering to Udoka's plans and he was benching players left and right.

Felt that everything went too well and then all of a sudden players are behaving like they are not professionals no more.

Portland is a talented but tanking team, not worth all the technicals and ejections......

I have rarely seen Harden using the word 'b....' that much.

I think we are too tired and it's not easy to played 5 games in 7 days but shooting still a big problem for us

If we will do some trades fix this issue I hope bring some best shooting players in here such as Cameron Johnson because mediocre means sucks and wont solve the problem at all

The problem is how much does bringing in a shooter cost. The Rockets are saving their powder for a big acquisition, aka Booker. They can’t afford to spend FRP’s on stop gap players and still have enough for the big move. Just so we can eek into the playoffs and get the experience, I would see if we could get a vet shooter for a highly protected pick. I like Brogdon because he would be cheap and provide at least some Jalen insurance and is a combo guard. Herro would be a really good get, but would be too expensive. I advocated for a Jalen/Simones trade last year and got laughed off the page.

Anfernee was cooking and Tari wasn't playing. Tari gives us that help defense in the paint.

But I still think first thing is always developing our own players for shooting and I dont mind make some trade in the summer in 2025 because our main goal is advancing playoffs I think our boys can achieve it even without any trade

I'm in disbelief at how bad we are with the threeball. Smith should be at 37%, same with Fvv. Green at 34%. It would be a 10 point improvement to the offense if they could hit their averages.
