He won, but not a landslide. He didn't even reach 320 Electoral votes. By this logic, Obama won both his elections in a landslide. Clinton really did. Reagan and Nixon's re-elections were true landslides.

The pop vote margin ending up this narrow is a bit of a surprise but I guess not that outrageous when you consider just how early the election was decided.

That being said, the narratives of a red wave, blowout, huge mandate, etc. are all nonsense.

The election hinged on about 200K votes spread across PA, MI, and WI. Effectively about a 0.1% margin of victory according to the arcane idiocy of the electoral college.

 

Harris lost. She was an awful candidate. Here votes were for anyone but Trump. They weren't on her own merit

Hopefully this small victory paves the way for Kamala to give it another shot in 4 years. No candidate has ever coalesced the nation in a matter of days. America's Cinderella.

 

I respect the part where the loser conceded her loss , and I look forward to her certifying the election, not inciting a riot, and then showing up to the inauguration for a peaceful transfer of power.
