Interesting, I was not aware of that. I was wondering where some of the differences came from.

https://cleaningtheglass.com/stats/...ition CTG uses, combined between the two teams.

Dillon is not that old, and I think he is (unfortunately) much better than Bari.

I suspect it might be [Guard]/Dillon/Amen/Tari/Sengun (I hope it will be Reed, in two years from now).

The four player lineup of (anyone)/Dillon/Amen/Tari/Sengun currently has this insane +/- rating (unfortunately, Ime hasn't tried it any more in the last few games): +73.9, 100th percentile offense and defense.

If you replace Dillon with Jabari there, you get:

Small sample size, and Jabari was in a funk, but...

The GM wet dream is 3 Wings + 1 Point Wing + 3 and D Center. It's why this board wanting to trade Jabari is funny to me....he isn't going anywhere. He is the rarest of rare breeds. The others in the league being Chet, JJJ and Wemby (and an over the hill Durant). KAT and Porzingis were two others that sorta fit this bill but are too slow and mentally weak.

We're 11-5 and Amen/Reed are still in their puppy phase while Jabari is still growing into his body. Like....we simply outclassed the Pacers yesterday and we didn't even play that well.

These people have neither watched games this season nor looked at data.

Rockets Need More Improvement From Alperen Sengun
Alperen Sengun has been growing, but the Houston Rockets may need more.

Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun has dazzled in his four NBA seasons, emerging as a franchise cornerstone.

However, Sengun may need to grow more if the Rockets want to seek the ultimate title of NBA champions.

"The Rockets’ leap from out of the West’s basement last season was fueled primarily by their defense, yet Sengun isn’t much of a deterrent at the rim and may never be. There could be enough perimeter defense around Sengun to allow him to make do on that end by leveraging his size and IQ, much like Jokic has in recent years. But, given his current shortcomings at such a critical defensive position, it remains to be seen whether the Rockets (or any team, for that matter) can vault to Denver-level good with merely an All-Star-caliber offensive hub, and not Jokic himself," Justin Verrier of The Ringer writes.

The Jokic comparisons for Sengun aren't new, but he needs to do more on the defensive end if he wants to get closer to the three-time MVP.

The Rockets don't need Sengun to be Jokic, especially with all of the talent surrounding him. But they do need Sengun to be better on the defensive end.

While he has made improvements this season, he needs to do a little more if he wants to get the Rockets further up the ladder in the Western Conference.

That doesn't track AT ALL with the numbers. Sengun offers elite level rim protection so far this season. Dumbass article

    Hey quick update from Rocketchump:

His power is still out, let’s pray it’s fixed soon.

He did share that even though Sengun may be a rim protector now, he still isn’t a lob threat, so we should trade him for Mark Williams.

At this point, there isn't a single player in the NBA I would trade Alpi for.

    That includes Nikola Jokic.

His power is on only when Sengun plays badly or Jalen Green plays well. Must be tough living a life without power

Nice. Now when I run starting 5 he'll be even better.

Filter for the Center Position and see where Alpy is on that ranking. The Ringer writer is clueless.

not a direct reply to your post but one thing I dislike about Udoka is playing the starting unit too much. Our starting 5 has played 214 minutes together, only surpassed by the Knicks, who doesn’t have depth and has a coach that always played players to death all his career. As a result we get a very small sample size for other line ups. And also the secondary line ups lack chemistry.

Why can't it be Amen Dillon Tari Jabari Sengun? Dillon is really a 2 guard.

One hell of a defensive unit, but I fear they wouldn’t generate many open shots — except a ton of Amen 3s. Amen is good downhill, but doesn’t seem to have the handles right now to break down defenses. He’s best on fast breaks and off ball right now. So who handles the ball? You can give it to Sengun most the time, but you’ll still need someone with reliable handles to get it up court and into the set.

Honestly when I watch the games I trust Tari could score better than Jalen. He always gets himself a good look. And he shoots better from everywhere.

Jalen is to inconsistent for beeing a franchise Player! He had some good games this season but its the same problem as the last years. Tari and Amen is much more useful then Jalen. I like Jalen´s style how he is playing but its not enough to be "the Player". Alpis Offense was in the last years strong and not he is also a defensive player too. He is going to be one of the completed Center in the NBA. There is now question about who is the franchise Player in my opinion!

I’m with you for the most part about no-one I really want for Sengun other than Jokic. Which every GM in the league would do 100 out of 100 times.
