If he had Sengün and Tari before Harden committed, ATW would not have stated that. If you have the best young talents, it is not that difficult. And couple that with an SGA/Harden kind of trade, that is the cherry on top. You have the young core intact and then get a star on the rise who is 23-25......that is dope.
Morey went into a much better situation than Stone and royally ****ed it up. He took the Sixers job 5 yrs ago when Embiid was still healthy and Simmons wasnt completely untradable and just wasted everyone's time chasing after Harden and Rockets retreads. Remember when he kept collecting busts like Thabeet, Squid, MCW, Thomas Robinson etc hoping for a miracle? Well he did the same thing in Philly except these were old ass washed Rockets players EG, PJ Tucker, Kyle Lowry, KJ Martin, Pat Bev, Marcus Morris, Danuel House, Montrezl Harrell etc it was ridiculous. His other obsession was trying to trade Simmons for Harden, which he eventually did after pissing off every other team with ridiculous trade demands, but whe. he succeeded he pussied out and lied to Harden as well. Its a joke. If he wasnt willing to pay Harden the max why did he even get obsessed with him? That'd be like us trading 6 picks for Jimmy Butler and then letting him walk. Now 5 yrs later he saddled Sixers with Mr Glass Embiid and Podcast P. Unreal. Dude is a one trick pony he makes so many trades but these are all low impact or short term "win now" moves that are extremely short sighted and rarely pan out in the long term. I think the only major good moves he made were drafting Maxey and Mcain. IMO he should def be in the hot seat and if it were me I would prob have fired him by now.

I hope Morey and ownership offer a bionic leg as a solution, otherwise no one can magically heal a leg. Usually big guys like Embiid always end up with leg issues. The man came into the league with issues, so this shouldn't be a surprise to anybody. Not really sure what this accomplishes, but it's pretty freaking awesome to watch Morey not be successful after he gave some BS response for leaving the Rockets. We are all better for it, but still funny.
Feels like he's done being a superstar. Sixers just need to rest Emibiid for the season and the other contributors need to figure out how to be unavailable for every third game. They owe a top 6 protected pick to OKC, just need to unabashedly tank.

Yeah I think he extended him when he still had years (2 or more) left on his deal. The two worst contracts in the league. They’re gonna have to start The Process™ again. Not sure Morey will/should oversee it.
