I have 3 takeaways from this:

    1. Rockets are planning to build around Sengun, Amen and Tari
    2. Rockets FO doesn't think that adding Giannis at his trade price would make us a contender
    3. When we make the star trade, it's going to be for a guard with Devin Booker being the most likely target

Iko says what the front office wants him to say. This is plausible, but could also be a negotiating tactic, and we don't know what mandates Tilman might come out of the blue with.

The rockets strengths are defense, rebounding, and froncourt scoring. Getting Giannis could be an upgrade but you would be left with the same weakness after the trade - backcourt playmaking and scoring.

If you're going to make trade, make it towards a player that complements Sengun, Amen, and Tari. A GAURD.

If you're going to make a trade at the deadline, package Bari and Cam for an upgrade at GUARD.

If Green doesn't turn it around, include him in a package for an upgrade at GUARD.

Hopefully I'm clear enough in what I think they should do.

How many picks will it take. All of them should be on the table

We're going to have to be opportunistic and the opportunity for the right trade probably won't present itself at the deadline this season. More likely in the offseason. I have my eye on what's going on with the Suns and Kings since they're kinda on the bubble at the moment. Maybe Memphis? Though Desmond Bane is playing like crap so far this season and I'm not sure Morant really fits given his lack of shooting ability.

I could also kinda-sorta see making a play for Tyler Herro or Coby White if they want somebody who can really, really shoot it, but Miami and Chicago front offices seem tough to work with.

Trading for Giannis would be understandable, he's much better than anybody on our current team (for now?). But yeah, the fit isn't the best.

yeah I think Giannis is great, but I’d rather go all in on a shooter than a power forward like Giannis. Mainly because I think u need shooting to win championships and like you said, we’re gonna be very good defensively anyway. But I do think he’d help our rim protection and if Giannis was willing to force his way to Houston i’d consider giving up certain members of our core (not the terror twins) to get a deal done.

That tweet told you that?? Lol. It didn't mention not one single player by name and you took out of think that Amen, Alpi and Tari are untouchable?

I went to college and I think I'm pretty smart, not the smartest mind you but I didn't get that at all. Lol

For amusement, let’s say if Jokic magically becomes available, would you jump on it? I know I would.

    Public Service Announcement:
We're at 10-5 (should have a better record than that) on pace for 50+. Outlets have caught on and have US --- US the Houston Rockets in the top 10 of power rankings on the early season as "flawed" as we are. Enjoy that for a few days gawd dog!

Seems this just proves that Jalen and Jabari are not part of our '"core". Going for a guy like Devin Booker means we want an upgrade at SG.

Based on what? How does disinterest in Giannis "prove" anything about Jalen and Jabari?
