Who asks this question after one month of a guy's career?

I think Reed is just barely getting started. No need to consider redrafting yet. He gets spot minutes on a team loaded with young talent who all want the ball. I don't think any other player we could have drafted would have jumped over any of our other guys. Hell, I'm surprised he is out there as much as he is and not in the GLeague. He must really impress the coaching staff and front office.

Still very early in the season. We still have not seen the real Sheppard.

I was really high on him till he showed up this year with the stache. Now I wish we'd taken Clingan.

I'll add, that with the team we have, I didn't expect Reed to see the court at all outside of garbage time this season and wouldn't have been surprised if he spent the whole season in the G League. The fact that he's in the rotation at all says an awful lot about what Ime thinks of him and what he's showing in practice and scrimmages. He's not a guy who just hands out minutes for no good reason.

Yeah - he really deserves all NBA defense honors this year - starting or not. Him and Tari are torturing teams. On offense Amen reminds me a lot of Westbrook with a smaller ego. I hope he continues to learn that no one can stop him driving to the hoop. It's money on the table just for him right now. All that said though, his ceiling will be limited as long as he isn't at least a threat of a 3 range scorer.....unless of course he becomes better at defense than any other team's best offensive player which might be the first in a really really long time because good offense normally beats good defense.

Right now, I would say no...he looks timid when he dribbles, can't really create his own shot. Stephen Castle is going to be the best player out of that draft class.

San Antonio would trade us Castle for Reed today and probably drive him here to pick up Reed.

A PG that can't shoot isn't ever the best player no matter the class.

Right now I’d say yes, since Clingan or Edey as a proper big & / rim protector off the bench is also much needed. But way too early.

McCain is separating himself as the best guard in this draft.

LMAO!! Some would still draft an end of the bench player! Wow!
Sheppard would be great if every team would lag off of him like Chicago did.

Nobody we drafted was gonna play much, we weren't the typical 3rd pick in the draft team. Sarr wouldn't see the court at all, most rookies would get 0 minutes for the rockets, maybe someone like clingen would get 10-12

What has cooled me off a little bit is that he was playing passively even during garbage time. I mean I can understand if he plays it safe when the game is on the line, or there are better players around him. But during garbage time? I’d expect him show more aggressiveness. Show those 3rd string scrubs who’s the real boss. But he’s not even doing that. I have to question if he has IT in him.
