I think Slowik is a nice guy, but I think he needs to be moved to another position in the offseason like asst. coach or something.
Yeah those defensive adjustments in the Jets game were superb. The second half’s have been everyone’s fault.
You mean the adjustments where the defense was getting tired since the offense couldn't move the ball??? "Stroud Sacked 8 Times" Yep... Terrible... Terrible... Terrible.. Defense Offense has to stay on the field and move the ball so the defense can get some rest... T_Man
The Jets game was the first time I heard Herbstreit mention Stroud being 'banged up', a week later it shows up on the Injury report. But I don't think it's responsible for the 3 ints. He hits a wide open Dell, the Lions game ends up in a Dub with a statline of 260 yards, 2tds and 1 int, 95 rating. No penalty in the opening play last night, that's 1 TD and they don't go for it on 4th and 3 where the Int happens. a statline of 330 yards 1 td for 120 rating. I think a big part of airing it out on 4th and 3 and 3rd 1 was Slowik trying to get Stroud's mojo back. He will be back to throwing anticipation dots. It's not like he has forgotten how to throw it. The yips maybe. The question, how long will the yips continue. Bye week hurry, please!
Not sure how ppl missed this, he's been dealing with the hand plus the shoulder as well. He is in a slump but some of the bad throws lately aren't about execution
Look I get it. The Jets scored a touchdown on every single drive of the second half and the offense wasn’t just going out and going three and out. I’m not neglecting the offensive blame I’ve been screaming about second half touchdowns for weeks. But the defense was atrocious in the second half against the Jets. Pitre getting exposed over and over and over again in the slot. Bad play and bad calls. There’s absolutely zero reason to defend that ****.
While I do hope the injured hand was the reason Stroud struggled last night. But people are doing cartwheels trying to explain away Stroud's sophomore slump.
2 Hopefully easy games, a bye, getting WAJ and Lassiter back, getting CHRISTIAN HARRIS back, OL continuing to gel (its quite obvious that this setup is better than the previous), and CJ getting comfortable again.... I really think all of that happening and we will be much more positive going into the KC/Bal week. I even think the no TD's in the 2nd half thing was becoming more mental than anything, getting the monkey off our back (even if it wasn't pretty) might help with that... but no, I am not trusting Slowik yet.
I was there at Love Field on Thursday & Saturday.... full Texans' gear Somebody did shoot at a plane on Friday tho.... Dallas gonna Dallas
Not sure, but reading this did spark a random memory of him hitting a defender or OL helmet on the follow through of a throw one game, I cant remember which one, and he didnt leave the game, but I feel like I remember that happening..
