Texans acquire RB Joe Mixon via trade

I honestly thought he was already a captain lol

 

Say what you want about his off the field behavior but this dude is the most natural football player I have seen in a very long time.

We got this dude for a 7th rounder.

Insane.

 

Mixon was accused of pointing a gun at a woman when their cars were stopped at a traffic light. He was acquitted of those charges. Mixon was named in a lawsuit filed by the parents of a 16-year-old who was shot in the foot on Mixon's property. The civil action accused Mixon of being negligent. While in college, Mixon was suspended for a season after punching a woman at a restaurant.

I wish I didn't know this stuff about him. I had to look it up and read he punched her so hard he broke bones in her face, then saw him walk off afterwards as she laid on the ground. Disgusting. Hard to forget that. Now I'll look at him differently, regardless of how great he plays.

 

In fairness to Joe she slapped him first. Not saying he’s right but its consequences when you do certain things. He was young made a mistake now everyone has moved on.

 

Would you punch a woman so hard you'd break bones in their face for getting slapped? Whether it was awhile ago or not it's hard to look at him the same after knowing that. Maybe it's because I'm a woman. That's not what I would call a "mistake" as you said. Ive never had any friends get punched like that in the face by some guy, and that includes high school, college, and Navy friends. It's not normal behavior, regardless of him being a college student.

 

I would recommend everyone to keep their hands to themselves. But anyway this was over 10 years ago so I’m not about to ruin a Mixon thread about this. Helluva pickup by Nick. Keep it rolling next week Joe

I think the table may have done some damage.

I can tell you when I was younger... somebody called me out of my name - especially a racial slur - or came at me, I would snap. Older & wiser now.

 

He could break Foster's record of 16 rushing TDs set back in 2010.

 

I always loved the move, never in a million years thought he would look this good in the system.

His vision in space is crazy.

 

I'd say the stupidest move of all was the Titans letting Henry go. Pollard has 681 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Henry has 1,185 yards and 13 touchdowns this year on Baltimore, and is averaging 6 yards per carry..

 

Honestly, Chase Brown isn't bad either and much younger. I don't think the Bengals are too concerned.
