I don't get all the criticism of Jabari. He was our 2nd best 3 PT shooter last year and 2nd highest rebounder. He showed consistent improvement from his rookie year. He never shot 30% or lower in any month, and only shot 34% or lower one month out of the entire season. You have folks ready to trade Jabari or send him to the G League for having a few bad games. Chill out! I'm more worried about our starting SG who is inconsistent as hell, and was all last year. Jalen had 3 months last year shooting 30% or lower from the arc and only shot higher than 32.1% in November and April. He needs to get consistently better at shooting. I could care less if he can look cool dunking a ball if his FG% isn't that good. I'm sure plenty disagree, but I don't care. Everyone has their own opinion. As long as Jabari's growth continues from last year I'll be happy. I'm just as excited to see Amen and Eason keep getting better and better. We have a lot of really promising young guys on this roster. It will be interesting to see their growth halfway through the season.
Yes he shot well finally. Doesnt seem like you comprehend well. Diacussion was about past performances, not future ones. Nice try moving the goal post. Its even clearly stated in the post you lol'd @. The real funny thing is even after that excellent game everything i said is still true.
I do not think it is just criticism. It is essentially the fear that the Rockets have missed out on that 3rd pick. He is too inconsistent on Offense and he has absolutely virtually little bounce and shaky handles.......isn't really skilled at all when his shot is off.
One of the great things I like about Jabari is that he is not a guy that needs a lot of shots. We have Green, Sengun, Amen, Tari and Fred, not to mention Cam and Reed. Just not enough shots for everyone. Jabari can provide solid value if he can be an elite 3 and D rebounding guy.
Jabari was the consensus 3rd and other than JDub who nobody knew would be the 2nd or 3rd best talent in that draft I havent seen anybody that made me think I'd rather have him over Jabari. Jabari is only 21 and is already a serviceable starting PF.
He is mentally weak. Trade him to the Clippers for their unprotected 1st round 2025 pick and a filler. Jalen is inconsistent, but he can still get around 20 points, unlike 4 from Jabari.
Jabari was drafted to be a 3&D player and provides neither except for one game a month at best. What he does provide is lazy defense, poor rebounding, and random temper tantrums.
Bari has been ass, but saying at least Jalen can get you 20 is misleading. Take a look at Jalen's shooting percentage and how Many shots it takes him to get 20. They are horrible. Even worse than his rookie year. Jalen has small flashes for stretches of a game but dude has been ass as well on offense.
Bari lacks game feel. He's talented and has some insane physical gifts. But he just doesn't have that "damn he's all over the court" thing that Tari, Amen and Dillon have.
He is always quick to throw his hands up and yell in disgust at teammates for what he perceives defensive mistakes. I don't know the numbers but my eyes tell me Jabari isn't even one of our best defenders. Dude makes just as many mistakes as everyone else, but no one goes at him because he'll go into his shell. So the team used the #3 pick to draft a 3 and D guy, who can't shoot nor is an outstanding defender. It's almost embarrassing seeing Sengun needing to bend over backwards to get Jabari involved or hype him or/make him feel good about doing something.
