This is the problem though. It’s not about just pandering to woke lefties there are serious practical practical problems to how you enforce a total ban on trans athletes. it’s one thing to do so at high level NCAA and Olympic competitions where they have a lot money and resources and another at a local Kids Judo tournament. This is again though why we are where we are at. Most people are fed alarmists stories and dire warnings of things like “Women’s Sports Won’t Exist!” When the problem is really minuscule. While the solutions create even further problems. It’s the reason why even the Republican governor of Utah vetoed a bill banning trans athletes. His arguments were the exact same that I made.

I agree he’s debating the idea of who we are rather than actually reading what we are saying and responding. He’s assuming what we would say is such a massive departure from the point he’s going to respond with regardless of what we are saying which is likely in agreement with that point. The actual problem is miniscule. The promotion of the problem is not. The GOP spent 215 million dollars on this. What happens when you have a choice? The Democrats say, we don't believe transwomen should play in women's sports, which most people think should not occur, or have Donald Trump as President? Most people don't want transwomen playing in women's sports. Why are Democrats willing to die on this hill? It is really easy "We do not support federal funding of transwomen playing in womens sports. However, we have no control over indepent leagues"
Love or hate Bernie every Democrat who wants to run under the party platform should be shown this clip to teach them how to discuss these issues. Dems need to come out as a party policy position that they dont think trans women should be playing with biological women. It doesnt make you a bigot or make you anti trans. It makes you a realist and starts the rebuilding process with the mainstream You can keep claiming culture warrs are some sort of distraction but thats exactly what won over swing voters this election. Dems did exactly what you keep claiming they should do which is ignoring the issues and focus on economic populism. The funny thing from you is that your lead bernie tried exactly this strategy in 2020. He went on the rogan podcast and spoke nothing about economic issues. He went around america and spoke nothing except economic issues. Guess what happened? Bernie got LESS votes in 2020 than he did in 2016 in every single state. In Michigan/Wisconsin he lost every single county in the state. In 2024 bernie got less votes than kamala in his own state while every other democratic senator ran ahead of Kamala in their state. The answer Democrats need to learn is not to be bigoted and anti trans. The answer also is not to ignore culture changes either. Yes culture changes did affect how part of the electorate voted. Trump liked turned out unlikely voters in the younger male demographic who like Trump because to them he represents a giant middle finger to that culture they hate. A culture that has nothing to do with Biden and Kamala’s policies but more to do with culture of young people, figures like Chappel Roan, etc. that also hate Democrats for not being pure enough. Anyone having ALL THE ANSWERS is full of sh$t. In the meantime though I believe Democrats need to adopt the Bernie messaging strategy. Transgender, abortion, all the culture war bullshit wasn't where the election turned. It was people feel economic anxiety. People vote their pocketbook. Harris failed to change their mind. She may not have had a chance to be honest. People remember Trump as pre-inflation. Dems couldn't explain how they could make people's lives better. Maybe there was no chance - all over the world incumbent gov'ts have been voted out. Inflation was a global phenomenon but it dug deep as people were already stretched.
