I’ve seen some musings of MIN trading Correa. I saw LAD as a hypo but don’t see that happening. I don’t see a HOU reunion as likely, either…Where else could he land? Or is this just classic November dead-time nothingness.
Wonder what this could be about? https://www.khou.com/article/sports...ent/285-0216deda-5481-4bf3-9adf-cdadfe0b123f?
I wanna say they’re changing the name of the park from Minute Maid to something else. It’s already been rumored but no formal announcement.
If Dana cant afford 3 impact bats, then I would hope that he trades for guys like Robert and Lowe. Then signs a guy like Gamel to platoon in LF with Whitcomb. If that happens they could go with Dezenzo or add a vet 3B like Arenado.
He's great defensively. Not so much offensively, but if he's part of multiple moves to improve the offense then I'm on board with this move. (After watching that clip it looks like he had a big year with the bat.) What do you think it will take to sign him? Adames and Lowe would make for a great fielding infield.
I don't think his offensive numbers looks too bad. Even prior to last season. Some decent seasons. Also how much more is Bregman getting over Adames? I would have guess similar contract.
Trading him is ridiculous. And it has nothing to do with his 2024 performance. It has to do with his contract and the nature of relief pitchers. He is probably one of the favorites to win the 2025 Mariano Rivera award.
Big picture - yes he should be. He is walking after 2025 and the team can't keep relying on comp picks to replace MVP candidates. Small picture- the team has basically no chance to compete in 2025 without him. They lost Bregman form a top heavy weak offensive team. Altuve is regressing quickly.
Most prognosticators have him at a year less than Alex, which would be attractive. He would be able to leadoff which is appealing, but I still prefer Alex. Unless they are still in on Alex and looking to trade Pena? JK
