Reed hasn't been impressive, but I'm not going to judge until he gets actual rotation minutes. Amen's first 13 games last year he averaged 5.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists on 44/20/56 splits in 15mpg. He wasn't the defensive dynamo we know him as now until mid-year. There are adjustment periods even for supposed strengths. Capela was a monster finisher in the G league but couldn't hit layups when he first got NBA minutes.

Ime can get guys to play hard, but he isn't a coach with a proper system to help them on offense - he is a guy who is a "Work Harder" dude, but not an elite coach.

He was expected to be the best scorer out of this draft, with defense as his weak point. Reed is having problems due to lack of confidence. His short height is an impediment to some extent.

Its def disheartening to see Mcain ball out despite being even smaller and less athletic.

I think its large part a mental thing IMo he needs to beat up GLeague to build up his confidence. If he starts scoring 20+ in the GLeague that might help him regain his mojo.

Amen was coming off a injured ankle and his minutes were impactful

The fact that Cam Whitmore is in the G-League and Reed Shepherd is getting rotation minutes is laughable. The roles should be reversed.

That is a judgement made years from now.

LOL, there are people still trying to push Castle? He's been awful....he flat out can't shoot despite getting all of the opportunity in the world.

Crazy that some can only see volume.

    Exposing yourselves as casuals.

Its gonna take you years from now to finally loosen your grip on Reed. For everyone else, including the media, it took 13 games.

From what we've seen this early part of the season, it's hard to tell whether or not if Reed can shoot. He's going to get exposed more and more as time goes on.

Castle and Carrington would play on this team.

Knecht, McCain and Edey would be eating churros in the Rio Grande.

Each one of these players would play with this team and make a bigger impact than Reed. Especially Edey who is currently starting on a contending team. None of them would be G league fodder.
