He needs to get more consistent. Stop getting blocked and stop settling for dumb jumpers.

On this team the Defensive chops of Tari and Amen are worth more than what Jalen brings.......but it is going to be close because offensively Tari and Amen are not there yet....but I am more optimistic about their future Offensive skillset than Jalen ever coming close to the disruptiveness of the Terror Twins.

I feel talking about the max for more than year now, it is beyond taxing and tedious.

Half of them committed to him during the Draft over Evan Mobley, Scottie Barnes and Franz Wagner.

The other half jumped on his wagon after the Draft.....

I think that image on the bottom is from their rookie year Vegas summer league opener - Cade was doing Jalen pretty bad the first 2-3 possessions, then Christopher switched onto him and took his lunch money 2-3 times.

Seems like you are blaming Ime Udoka, Fred Van Vleet and Alperen Sengun, too.

This is a 9-4 team that would likely have a top 10 offense and defense If we could make some open shots.
    Great coaches.

“Take what the defense gives you…”

Every great scorer ever has had their coach tell them this ad nauseam. It’s the truth.

I think it is abundantly clear that he will NEVER be the numero uno.

We have a rotating numero uno......sometimes it is Jalen, sometimes Alpi, sometimes Eason, Amen, Bari.....hell even Brooks or FVV.....

Instead of a DUDE.....our entire team is a TEAM DUDE !

Right now it is that way but I doubt that it will carry on the next decade long.

I did not blame them at all, I just said they play well when we play slow and compressed.

Don't dig your heels in when it's obvious you spoke without realizing I had already blamed Green for his performance before your post. Everyone can see you're telling a person who called Green's performance unacceptable that he's not holding Green accountable.

Take what the defense gives you doesn't mean Shaquille O'Neal takes a midrange jumper. It means you take the shot you can make that the defense gives you. I'm sure you know this, no idea why you're being obtuse about these things.

People said the same about SGA and Jaylen Brown. I think we have a few guys that came make a run at it.

Pau Gasol was a dude. Don’t see why Alperen can’t chase him down. If Alperen puts his offense together it might get scary.

Alperen in particular can play well fast. His archetype fits the mold perfectly, as I have explained.

Nah, it seems like you are in here chirping about everyone else. There were likes on my initial post, so I’m not the only one that sees it.

“Take what the defense gives you…”

Jalen Green is a 3 level scorer, not Shaq. Obviously you tell him to take what the defense gives. Odd of you to say otherwise.

Yup and Ime brung Sengun and Fred back in and the assists and team play returned. We immediately went on like a 14 - 0 run. Sengun can play very fast. Its usually Fred that slows the pace because eh likes half court high pick n roll the most.

Jalen's issue other than defense and shooting is that he doesn't pass the ball. He, dillon brooks and Amen have the worst tunnel vision but if you play them with sengun and fred the passing improves the offense so much. This is why I was so mad that we wasted so much time on KPJ. Those years should have been spent training Jalen how to be a point guard even if that wasnt going to be his permanent role. we were tanking anyway so that would have been the perfect way to develop him. Look at Harden now at his advanced age his shooting is leaving him but he is a godly passer and it keeps his teams aflot. It was so hard trying to explain this back then but all anyone heard me say was "you hate kpj".

I'm aware Sengun can play well fast. You didn't explain that to me, I said that months ago.

Nah, it can seem like whatever you like in your head, but out here in the real world you're talking to the guy who called Green's performance unacceptable and is making tactical criticisms of our coach. Because you had preconceived notions, you thought it a good idea to jump to a conclusion. You were flat out wrong. Thank you btw. Looks great for me to show that I criticize Green when he deserves it.

Don't bother moving goal posts. You said every great player, you didn't say every 3-level scorer. Wrong again.

Btw if 3-level scorer means you are piss poor on 2 of those levels, it's a meaningless term. Jalen Green cannot efficiently convert on 9-10 3PT attempts per game, just like 99% of the NBA can't. This piece of knowledge is free, you're welcome.

    Genuinely Happy for His Teammates.
like I me-ntioned in my earlier post.. give chance to other members of the young core to prove their worth.. because next season might have great changes and there's no more leeway for the young core to be evaluated.. Rockets not featuring JG and not worrying his trade value is plummeting[might be on purpose] just means this is his team

What is a 3 level scorer? Because from what I see Jalen Green is a 0 level scorer. He's below average at scoring at all levels

He's atleast a one level. He can get to the rim at will and I wish he would just do that way more than jacking up threes. He's looking more like Zach Lavine each day I really thought that was his floor and he would end up being Shai or Edwards. Its starting to look like he'll never be like them.

I think most of us can agree that it's very likely Jalen will never be a consistent offensive guy. He might never be an efficient one, too. But I still believe he can be useful when used right. He's a lethal weapon when he's feeling it. The team just needs to be aware of when he's hot and when he's not and use him accordingly. As long as we are not completely dependent on his production then we're good.

Every great scorer, is what I said. Even Shaq. For sure Shaq is going to take what the defense gives him. Obviously he won’t be taking half-court shots.

    Nice try.

Shaq will take what’s open. The jump hook there? Nope, it’s the drop step.

“Take what the defense gives you…” - Echoed by thousands of coaches the world over.

JG needs to be a three level scorer. If he isn’t, what are we doing here?
