It would appear you have the opinion that a person with relevant experience and credentials should be treated as mentally ill if they are transgender and therefore should be disqualified from a position in government. I don't share your views. Also, I believe the word you are looking for is "Their", not "They/them's".

As a medical doctor, I'm pretty sure she knows better than you the differences between males and females. She's not a child and how she chooses to identify and present gender-wise is her business. In any case, my original point stands. She isn't a cabinet appointee, she is well qualified for her current position, and pointing to her to rebut the lack of qualifications for someone like Gaetz for AG or a crank like RFK Jr. for head of HHS is silly.

Are you talking about "gender fluidity" or the idea of biological sex not being a strict binary? I know doctors/scientists often disagree on whether biological sex should be conceptualized as a binary or not. I've seen the arguments on both sides of that debate. As for "gender fluidity", what is the scientific argument against it? It's a psychological disposition with underpinnings that are complex and not that well understood. If sexual preference can be fluid, I see no particular reason to doubt that one's sense of gender identity can also be fluid. Transgenderism has existed cross-culturally going back to antiquity. Seems like it's just something that can exist naturally.
