Temper or not he wasn't so lazy that he got off his ass and actually voted. He wasn't so lazy that even if he didn't like the presidential candidates, he was unable to research and vote for the rest of the ballot measures and candidates. It's a democracy. I showed up. I voted. My candidate lost. I'll move on to vote again next time. You didn't even show up for our democracy. Your blabbering is meaningless and comes from someone who obviously doesn't care enough to show up for our democracy.
Yawn. I'm far from lazy but I chose not to vote. That was my decision which I'm entitled to exercise. I've voted all the time in the past. Of course your candidate lost because you support trash like Harris. She was probably the worst candidate ever but you blindly support any Democrat. Your vote was as worthless as the one I didn't make because of the fact that the actual person doesn't matter to you as long as they are a Democrat
You were absolutely lazy and didn't show up for our democracy. My vote wasn't worthless because it was counted. My other down ballot votes were all counted as well. You are entitled to not show up and participate in our democracy. Nobody is claiming you aren't. But we are entitled to call you out for it when you try and deride the vote of people that actually took the time to show up and participate.
I wasn't lazy at all. I made a decision that I didn't like either candidate. You just seem to be unwilling to accept it because it doesn't fit your line of thinking. It doesn't work like that. I was only referring to your presidential vote because that's all that I'm aware of. I'd be willing to bet you voted all democratic though because that's what your posts suggest. Voting for Harris was worthless. Nobody thinks she was a good candidate and she got the floor wiped with her by Donald Trump. You keep bragging about voting. I've done it my whole life until this election. It's not anything special. You just can't deal with someone sitting out because they saw how terrible the candidates were. Doesn't matter to you unless they have a D next to their name
I don't like it, but I guess from their perspective it's tough. They voted for concerns abroad rather than concerns at home. Michigan has more than 200,000 Muslim voters, along with 300,000 with Middle Eastern or North African ancestry. Biden won there in 2020 by 154,000 votes, while Trump carried the state with a victory margin of just 10,700—or 0.23 percent—in 2016. Why Michigan Arab Americans Backed Trump Over Harris
It is democracy. That may not be special to you. But it is to me. We are allowed to have different opinions about what it means to participate in democracy.
Quite isn't working on my phone for whatever reason @FranchiseBlade. I'll reiterate what I said before. I wasn't voting because I didn't like either candidate. First election that I sat out. I don't feel bad about it whatsoever. I don't like Trump but he's what we have and he's certainly better than Harris. I guess we'll see in the next 4 years.
Fact is most people on this planet don't understand ****. They don't understand science, they don't get how the economy works, they don't understand what drives inflation or why their lives are what they are. The only know gov't sucks and is slow. Money is good. And we're the good guys and everyone else is flawed. That's what went wrong. Here there everywhere. Humans are sheeple - liberals and conservatives. No one concerns the market on that. We now live in a time where being college educated is a negative to most of the country. And being a **** talking fat boar appeals to most of the country. And it's not just the US. There was no way Harris could have won. Probably no way a Democrat could have won short of Bill Clinton. People don't understand why they are struggling, they are buying into the narrative that it's someone elses fault.
Here is @DaDakota point you are clearly missing. If you label things correctly, from the beginning, it does not give the idiots a leg to stand on. If the labeling was "Black Lives Matter, too" from the beginning there is absolutely no ambiguity for people to rally around. The group has set the narrative from the beginning. People can't say "See they think only Black Lives Matter". You have to take away the only point of attack they have.
100% CORRECT. This is a war of context and when people are so busy just getting by, they don't have time to dig in, it is SLOGANEERING - the Dems are losing the slogan war, and that is what is winning the vote..... Most people don't dig in, they just read the 5 second headlines. DD
I'm going to be frank. 999 out of 1000 people claiming that BLM was racist because it implies "black lives matter only" were trolling. I think you need to be around actual right wing circles like I was and still am connected with in my Marine infantry days where the bulk of my former peers today are MAGA and learn how often they troll and aren't sincere. They absolutely understand that the slogan implies that Black Lives don't currently matter in this country compared to other races. They understand that. That's why when I debate these same people who make this bad faith claim they immediately just talk about how black people aren't persecuted today anymore implying they always knew the actual intention of the slogan and just never believed in the premise in the first place that BLM implied "only" at the end. Come on dude. You need to understand how often the right tries to attempt humor, sarcasm, trolling etc to express their views. You have to understand how many of these people hate activists because they are "annoying spyboys and blue haired smelly feminists" and therefore deserve bad faith arguments hurled at them. They see left activism as cringe because these people have issues dealing with empathy skills and lash out by trying to "trigger" people they seem as annoying. No one sincerely thought "BLM" meant "Black Lives matter only". Right wing pundits one day will say the slogan is meant to be supremacist and the next day talk about how their complaints about black oppression are overblown giving away their hand that they always knew the slogan was meant to call out oppression and not a slogan of supremacy. I'm sorry I strongly disagree with this.
Fair enough. They didn't have a problem voting in Biden and Rashida Tlaib the last time. Maybe they think the courts will save them from more stuff like the "Muslim Ban."
