Them not encountering the issue personally is exactly why you can go on air to their favorite show and tell the host you are prolong up fake issues to distract. You can't do that with the economy because even if objective economic metrics are good, due to the embedded wealth inequality in our system, millions of Americans never feel a "good economy" so they feel gaslit. Take advantage of the fact that most Americans don't have negative interactions with trans people or migrants but many have negative interactions with their landlord. Take advantage of that.
And Harris didn't run on economic populism. Tax incentives for small business is not populism. How many Americans struggling to pay their next rent payment are a tax break away from being a successful small business owner?
Democrats need to do stuff like investing in immense ad campaigns to do PSA announcements about social media algorithms and describe what they are and how they shape people's views.
Do you think you're not also affected by social media algorithms? Because it seems like all your comments are parroting things from a different bubble than the one you dislike, but a bubble nonetheless. I've got friends on both ends of the spectrum and conversations with both reflect their own social media bubble.
Which is why it's so important for the entire party to adopt the same messaging. The reason why defund the police didn't work in 2020 is cuz biden and the DNC adopted a platform of funding the cops and being law and order. The reason why the trans issue hurt democrats so much is they never fought back and allowed the Republicans to mold the democratic position. The party allowed the Republicans to push trans propaganda without any push back. The party needs to adopt a hard stance on trans women playing with women and need to adapt a tough border stance
What feeds do you think I doom scroll? There are specific media entities I trust like propublica. I trust more radical media also like "CoolZone media" network. Usually these sources source text and books that I expand on from these sources. I don't really get information from scrolling through Twitter for example. If you want to just get a small insight of something I listen to daily on the morning getting ready for work: https://search.app?link=https://www..._campaign=aga&utm_source=agsadl1,sh/x/gs/m2/4 I suggest you go over how people like this cover topics vs someone like Rogan or Shapiro or Walsh or Pool. Also I never trust sources that tell me that they have no bias. That's impossible. The sources I trust are upfront about their perspectives and where they come from. A lot of right wing content tried to frame themselves as centrists or classical liberals in bad faith because most of these people are insincere. You have to be able to distinguish who is sincere and who isn't. Who just shared you surface level headline clock bait news to rile you up vs people with sincere intellectual curiosity who believe they need to read long form text for days before they decide to express an opinion about it.
Again no. They need to explain how it's a moral panic issue to distract. When you frame it that way you remove ability to attack the insincerity of what they concentrate on. You need to expose the grifting. Not throw trans people under the bus. The goal is to make people lose trust in these sources and figure heads.
Sigh. You will never be able to convince something that they agree with that it's all moral panic. The overwhelming majority of Americans are not okay with trans women playing with biological women. You won't convince them 1+1=5 . You're playing a losing game which is what the Republicans want you to do. Pivot hard to the center on culture war issues and focus on economics. Until you do so the public will only focus on culture war issues
In your sentence, are "these people" (the insincere ones) the right wing content creators, or the centrists and classic liberals? And I think if you are that well sourced, that's great for you. But trust me, there are lots of people relying on their feeds for news, in both parties. I agree that algorithms are a real, societal problem.
I don't think you get it. This isn't about Democrats trying to change the ideology of a voter to convince them to have more empathy for trans people and be more open to allowing them to enter into more public spaces in society. This is about the Democrat party making people distrust the sources they are propagandized with by expressing the fakeness of their issues in terms of the topics they obsessed over and how little they impact the vast majority of Americans and tell them they are doing it because it not only helps generate outrage which then generates engagement and then generates revenue but also is a distraction issue to the fact that wealthy people are doing things like price fix basic living expenses or converting traditional great Americans engineering companies that hired so many to husks that are just glorified finance companies that outsource everything and hollowed out America.
I saw more emphasis on the generic old school neo-liberal throating of "small business" than issues that effect people who are more than a tax break away from being a small business owner.
do you realize how utterly INSANE your strategy is. You want the democratic party to declare war on right wing podcasts and disinformation instead of just pivoting to something the public already agrees on? You want the democratic party to convince the public that the right wing ecosystem is awful on a topic they agree with Republicans on???? Do you have any idea how utterly delusional you are?? The American public doesn't want trans women playing with biological women. You can't convince them that this topic isn't a big deal Harris ran hundreds of millions of dollars of ads saying she'd cut regulations and build 3 million new houses. There's nothing neoliberalism about that Wtf are you talking about seriously
Yup. Absolutely. You declare war on a collection of people who hardly believe what they say. That is easy with some effort. You go on these platforms understanding you are going to burn a bridge and never be invested again and tell them to their face when was the last time they discussed the price of rent and how many times they mentioned Lia Thomas. You expose these people as fake. And you need a certain type of people who can do this. It is the far more sustainable solution than having to buy into right wing framing on every new issue the right successfully spams with their influencers and social media algorithms. Like you can't do that in perpetuity.
As the campaign came closer and closer to election night, the more she went away from economic populism and the more she dives into aughts neo-conservativism and neo- liberalism. "We will have the most lethal military on the planet". Really? When do Democrats talk like that? Bringing in border patrol to your convention all in one the right wing framing that there is a security issue with migrants? The good thing here is you can tell people these are all fake issues and very few Americans will feel as if their lived experiences are being gaslit unlike when a candidate talks about how great the economy is.
Cutting regulations is the very neo-liberal way of addressing home pricing. Not even saying it's the correct way n just saying for a working class American they might just see it as generic neo-liberal policy that we've seen for the past decades. "Let the market fix home pricing" has been the failed solution now for years in the eyes of many workers even if the perception is not accurate
With objective statisical metrics absolutely. Too bad American has a deeply embedded wealth inequality issue. That means millions of Americans are not feeling that good economy and will feel gaslit when a politician brags about a good economy.
Oh my god. You are more delusional than I thought. Jesus christ lord have mercy. Which is why the trump campaign ran more anti trans ads than economic ads! The Trump campaign openly admits their trans ads were more effective than anything else! @fchowd0311 doesnt get it.
