    ...her campaign debt.

And the DNC wants us to think their candidates can balance a budget when they run $1 billion in to $20 mil in debt after 2 months LOL

Millions to celebretiy endoresement I can't wrap my head around giving all this money to Oprah and Beyonce thinking it would help

Talk about ironic and why voters are rejecting this disgusting party for someone like trump

    https://www.newsnationnow.com/politics/dnc-democrat-debt-harris/
DNC staffers resign with Kamala Harris campaign $20M in debt
    • Harris' campaign spent around $1 billion over 90 days
    • DNC finance committee member Lindy Li spoke out about debt
    • She calls for a party 'postmortem' to address inside issues

Kamala Harris campaign’s $20 million debt
A source familiar with the campaign confirmed to NewsNation that the campaign is $20 million in the hole after Nov. 5, even though the campaign took in at least $1 billion and reported $118 million in the bank as of Oct. 16.

Li, on behalf of confused voters and disappointed donors, has been speaking out about the party’s financial woes.

“It’s been tumultuous, to say the least, but I’m so glad I did, because if we don’t correctly diagnose the problem, we’re never going to change,” Li said. “If we don’t make drastic changes to the party, there are a number of things, not only on the finance side, but also if we don’t recognize that America is fundamentally shifting to the right, we’re going to keep losing.”

Party leadership in the Democratic National Committee is “absolutely in turmoil,” Li says.

    Trump’s victory.

“This wasn’t a loss. This was a shellacking,” Li said.

Neither political party seriously cares about balancing budgets anymore.

Meanwhile someone hasn't paid they debts from 2016 and 2020
    but you know what
At this point in time. . . everyone should take their lead

No one should pay their debts
Everyone should just lie and do whatever

Is anyone responsible for paying these debts?

It's not like it's going to affect anyone's credit score.

I'm sure folks want to get paid, but what recourse do they have?

But ... when the Ds do the debt thing, it is like 100x worse than when the Rs do.

FWIW cities are still waiting for the Trump Campaign to pay their debts. @LosPollosHermanos don't care, unless it make the Liberals cry.

A lot of out of touch Democrats in key positions are wondering how they lost and pointing fingers at everyone and anyone.

The fact that some of these people, like Li, ever believed that Harris was the favorite is really bizarre.

I'm hoping you do understand that her campaign debt is not national debt and you just titled the thread that way for clicks. And that it is standard practice for campaigns to take out loans to smooth cash flow in an operation than can be lumpy in both revenue and operating expense. And that $20 million isn't very significant for a $1B campaign. But, I do take the point it was a shellacking. That's definitely right.

In 2021, Dem pollster David Shor brought up how the DNC overrelies upon college aged white interns

    https://www.politico.com/news/magaz...mocrats-privileged-college-kid-problem-514992

At its most basic, Shor’s theory goes something like this: Although young people as a whole turn out to vote at a lower rate than the general population, the aforementioned type of young person is actually overrepresented within the core of the Democratic Party’s infrastructure. According to Shor, the problem with this permanent class of young staffers is that they tend to hold views that are both more liberal and more ideologically motivated than the views of the coveted median voter, and yet they yield a significant amount of influence over the party’s messaging and policy decisions. As a result, Democrats end up spending a lot of time talking about issues that matter to college-educated liberals but not to the multiracial bloc of moderate voters that the party needs to win over to secure governing majorities in Washington.

“It is descriptively true that people who work in campaigns are extremely young and much more liberal than the overall population, and also much more educated,” said Shor who at the advanced age of 30 says he feels practically geriatric in professional Democratic politics. “I think that this is pushing them to use overly ideological language, to not show enough messaging or policy restraint and, from a symbolic perspective, to use words that regular voters literally don’t understand — and I think that that’s a real problem.”
His comments here forecasting the 2022 midterms also turned out to be relevant for this last election. They all knew they were slipping with the Hispanic and working class vote. Dems only learn through a cluster**** of failures.

Kamalas campaign seems to have run on some of those insights which lacked authenticity because you can't whitewash the incumbency's record with hundreds of millions in forced ads.

They are still requesting money so I am sure they can get that from the rich people relatively quickly.

So far I've seen Democrat politicians blame trans people, college students, Latino men and Black men. This will help turnout in future elections for Democrats. Keep it up.

Given Trump's bankruptcies, unpaid debts, and first term deficit spending, I don't think he's shown to be any more reliable.

Not running his own campaign into a $20M debt (after raising $1B) is a nice start.

    Yup.

There is a lot of entitlement in the Democratic Party right now.

Someone will emerge and take the lead of the party - hopefully it is the right person
