That would require winning 1 against The Chiefs or Ravens…. https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/ee809752-6399-4181-8aa3-bea97520c026
Can we bring Gary Kubiak in as an advisor already? He can teach Slowik how to coach and call plays like a professional.
We weren't going to face him anyways, but we need some good news somewhere after that SNF debacle....
I know people are upset but honestly the major difference these past weeks are that the Texans luck regressed. They were winning close games earlier and now they're losing them. That is a hallmark of a .500 team. The Texans do play in a crappy division so they'll likely finish 10-7 again, but the pre-season hype of being a contender always felt a bit too optimistic once they started playing. Talentwise this team still needs to get better around Stroud. Also, Nico Collins is way too important for this offense. Stroud looks like he has no security blanket once Collins went out.
Agreed, losing these games is not much of a surprise considering how they played in their wins. The off-season hype was fun even though it was clearly over the top.
See, difference is, I believe they will be 1-6 or 10-7 but have improved a lot in 7 games. Particularly with the new OL. Give this team OL improvement and have them healthy and I truly believe they can beat anybody. Cant wait until the NFL leading yardage leader when he got hurt will be back soon. So will Harris. The defense was a chance to be really good. They'r going to be playing without WA for a while. But Autry at DE and Edwards at DT is very good. Settle has been playing well. Fatukasi gets healthy and that's a deep DT. Harris/Al-Shaair/White is a fast group of LB's. Secondary has to stay healthy. Particularly Stingley/Lassiter, Ward, Petrie
They can absolutely beat anyone - they just almost beat the best team in the league and did it without Nico and WAJ. The ingredients are all there - and there are annually stories of teams gelling and coming on strong late in the season. The Texans could do that, but we need to see the OL perform well a second game and Nico back healthy. Those two would combine to lower the stress on Stroud and hopefully he starts having fun again instead of running scared. If that happens - and there is plenty of reason to think it could - they are still contenders with this defense.
Ughhhhh, one players only meeting is ok, but 3 in no bueno. Why cant we talk in front of the coaches, is there no trust or what?? Keep these things on the down low and stop telling people what you're doing, IMO it's not a good look. I tell my team all the time, you have an issue about ANYTHING, we talk about it in a group setting or one on one, but if my team held a meeting without me, that would tell me they don't trust what they have to say........in my huddles, it's a circle of trust and you can say anything without HR being an issue, but once we leave the circle its back to business
