That's ironic since the word for moon in Latin is "luna". They actually gave it a name. I actually thought the opposite, though : I've always thought it sad we gave its name to be the generic name of every other planet's satellite. It's like we had no ego in calling it "the moon" ... not even a real name like other satellites get. No Europa, Ganymede, Titan, Enceladus, etc. All great names (although that last one just sounds like a mexican salad). Call it something, people!

Do you blow your nose with a kleenex, even if it's a Puffs? Do you get a band-aid when you cut yourself or do you always get an adhesive bandage? When you need a copy of a document you you photocopy it or xerox it? That's the Moon. It was such a successful, ubiquitous and market-dominating product that every additional sub-planet that orbits anothet planet and reminds you of The Moon is just another little "moon". Its name is The Moon vs everything else which reminds you of The Moon and is described as just another "moon" - a pale echo of original.
I use tissues, bandages and who the **** copies paper anymore? I either scan it (also dated) or take a super high res photo of it with my pocket supercomputer, crop it, sign it digitally if I have to, and file or send it to whomever needed it. They can print it out if they want another copy. The name of our moon (another word for a natural satellite) is Moon. I’m sure there is a person out there named Human. The name of that human is Human.
I don’t think heroin should be legal and the majority of people that become addicted to it cannot function as a normal person - but some can and you don’t hear about them for that reason. Personally I am in favor of harsh punishment for dealers but not users. As for cocaine - I have known a lot of people that do it a few times a month- but they usually do it socially and heroin is the opposite.
He has shot it before but my understanding is that he doesn’t do that. He does it alone - and leaves no visible signs. Theoretically he could die of an overdose - but that is usually a result of people that went to rehab using too much because their tolerance has gone down. He has used the same amount for years. Only time I know it was an issue was after an accident, in the ER he had to tell the ER physician he used and had used recently so that they adjusted his pain medications and were not alarmed at his blood draw results. At this point - I think if he ends in a tragedy, it will be suicide because of his cloud of melancholy that emerges when he is alone or talking to me away from family and friends.
Similar to the Elvis/food topic. We have more food than ever...enough to feed the entire world if teleportation was possible, but the same group eats fast food over higher quality food because its good and convenient. But mostly because they can get away with consuming it.
