I would like to see how the team responds without Fred. I sometime feel like Fred is a crutch but I know he organizes the team more than we would like to admit. I don't necessarily have high expectations for Reed, but more that the team can be effective getting organized offensively and defensively without FVV directing them. Let's see how it goes.
Well, the Wizards should be one of the best teams to rest people against, but, then again, we damn-near lost to the mediocre Pistons who had one of their best players missing, and we already lost to the Hornets with Brandon Miller barely playing, and the the Spurs played us tough a couple of times, beating us once, so ... we'll see what team shows up. Here's to hoping Amen, Reed, and Holiday can keep things under control. lol.
I'm more concerned that Adams may not play. We need our ogre for the troll war with Jonas. I was interested to see that matchup.
According to on/off this season we do way better when Fred is off the floor, it's not even close. Last year it was the exact opposite, but not only was it the opposite, we had a negative net rating with him on the bench. In other words, last season we needed him on the court in order to not fall apart entirely as a team. Any time he sat down we were losing. This year, not so much. Not only are we better without him, but we are dominating without him. So I think tonight will be an interesting test.
FVV is one of the only competent ball handlers on the roster, so him being out is a big hit....and it's totally predictable given that Udoka keeps playing him crazy minutes and he's literally never made it through a season healthy. Hopefully this leads to more competent rotations moving forward, or FVV will end up missing a lot more time.
Very interested to see this tested against an easy opponent. Let’s see if Brooks can keep up at this pace.
Sore hamstring? Is this one of those injuries where the guy has been playing through it but we choose this game to sit him because the opponent is easy?

It's a bottom East team so it might not be a great evaluation to see what the team looks like without FVV. The Rockets should win tonight regardless. And since I believe that they probably will lose tonight.
