I literally just fired myself and subsequently re-hired myself after discovering quickly I wasn't the problem

    This team is cursed

    Get a good QB,
    Get great WR.
    Can't block
    WR gets hurt.

    Can't hold 16 point lead

Glad i didn't waste my time watching this garbage

It was far closer to egregious than "yeah that could've/should've been called".

    It was an obvious PI.

I am always like that. But I only give respect to those that deserve it. You think I should be cool with fools trying to troll me constantly? Nope, that is when you see me be an a$$hole. No patience for keyboard warriors.

    And you are welcome.

The missed call didn't happen over the entire second half.

They missed a roughing the passer on us. It's a 2 way street...

What if the refs didn’t give them the game and texans won on a last second field goal? Would that have counted as a choke for the lions considering we didn’t have our stars?

The refs didn’t give them the game though.

You are using the full bag of excuses. lol. Kidding, well kind of. You are aware the Lions have injuries as well? And get over thinking the officials were working against you. Do you see Texans players or coaches blaming the officials? Nope, they know they had plenty of chances to put their foot on the Lions throat and end the game, and didn't. The end.

Sad part for me is, I DID. On the east Coast that put me pretty close to midnight.
Sadly, I had to work today, which means out of bed at 4:45AM. It's been a long day.

We see worse literally every week. Hell the Bengals just had a roughing the passer AND a defensive hold missed on the same play that literally was essentially the last play of the game.

The last thing people should be complaining about is that no call when you blow a 16 point half time lead because your QB throws two awful picks and the offense scores zero in the second half. It’s equivalent to say the Astros blowing a 6 run lead and then getting mad at the umpire for missing a strike call that eventually leads to the winning run scoring.

Edit: As far as the egregious part goes, when you can’t even find a clip on the NFL Reddit sub and all the neutral fans complaining about it, it’s not that bad.

This is the equivalent of not having a good bullpen.....

Texans were great at closing out games last season. This year, they can't do jack in the 2nd half of games. It's insane how bad the offense is in the 2nd half.

So you'd rather continue to beat a dead Slowik than to raise awareness to how pathetic NFL officials are becoming? I dont think context makes any sort of difference for a very real moment in time. Would it have been different if the game had been tied all night and then they miss the call?

"roughing the passer" cmon now. That shot by Barnett wast textbook. Came in under the chin and on the numbers.

I think the refs definitely treat (and possibly even instructed by the NFL) star QBs differently than the other QBs and Mahomes is at the top of that list. The NFL is going to protect its money makers.

As far as whether they get that PI call, IDK it’s possible...maybe even probable. What I do know is the Lions are not getting special treatment by the refs or the NFL. They constantly get screwed.

At the very least... the team certainly isn't peaking early.

Most of the national media has a similar sentiment... the Texans haven't played their best football yet (whether its injuries, coaching, a combination).... and these sorts of learning curve issues will hopefully go a long way towards success when it really matters.

The biggest saving grace, of course, is the dog **** division that allows them this sort of flexibility and figuring **** out.

This is a young, rebuilding football and not a championship caliber team (not yet). I came away more impressed with this team in this loss than I did after the loss against the Jets. To take a team the caliber of the Lions down to the wire like that tells me that we FINALLY have a coaching staff capable of developing this team. Sure, CJ made mistakes but it's only his 2nd year and his maturity and professionalism are off the charts. Kid is going to be a monster. They need to add more talent - especially on the offensive line. They need to continue to develop the young players they have. They had the best team in the league on the ropes only to come up short at the end because the moment was too big for them. I can accept that. They will grow from this - in fact I fully expect them to beat the Cows next week.
