I mean you can do that but it’s kind of a stupid decision bc even a make just sets up for you to have to stop them from driving down with plenty of time.

They really should have gone for it, it’s 4th and 4. Go get it.

Andy Reid, Dan Cambell, Steichen, McDermott, McDaniel, LaFleur, Shanahan all those ****ers would have gone for it.

Bill O’Brien would’ve kicked a FG for sure.

That’s because we can’t come close to selling out these games, too many tickets available, every home game…

When Mahomes was driving late in the 4th, it was soo quiet that it didn’t seem real…

3+ turn over margin in both games... I dont have the exact numbers in front of me but history tells us that the team who has that one stat alone has an 85% (or higher) chance of winning

But the Texans keep finding ways to lose - when history tells you they shouldn't. Just crazy and very frustrating.

Yeah, but when you're SO wrong you end up 360' to being right.

    Right?

The NFL is a coaching league. Yes talent matters, but coaching matters a lot more. The reason that the Lions won today was because of Ben Johnson. The reason the Chiefs always win is Andy Reid, etc. The Texans had enough talent to win, but needed coaches to come up with good schemes. We do okay in the 1st half, but Slowik absolutely fails in the 2nd half. I would not blame it on defensive coaching, besides a few things here or there, Ryans generally has those guys show up for the whole game.

It is solely and exclusively on Slowik why this team is 6-4. If we had a better OC, we'd be 8-2 at least.

Im pretty sure the win percentage for teams with 80 yards passing in games is pretty damn low too.

We had no business losing to the Jets I’ll give you that.

Going into a home game, with CJ Stroud and Demeco, I rarely “expect” the Texans to lose. But regardless of whether it’s the the worst team or best team in the history of football, I expect it to be a close game in the 4th quarter.

Sounds like loser talk. Yeah if they got blown out I would have said we were out-talented. We got ourselves in position to win, then blew it. That just means we were out-coached or our players are chokers. Both these things are serious issues that would need to be addressed ASAP if you care about winning.

Why couldn’t the run n shoot teams of the late 80’s and early 90’s get to the SB?

Every year, for like 7 years in a row, I thought it was our year. It never was. The football choke is real here. Oilers, Coogs, crap ass texans. All chokers.

Don’t get me wrong. I love the Coogs and I loved the Oilers.

If those guys aren’t playing we are going nowhere anyway. I would be WAY more concerned if we had our guys and lost this game (to be fair it was a total screwjob also, which is hard to overcome)

    Yeah. Terrible.

Glanville the only one still alive.

Pardee’s teams were maybe good enough to win a SB. Glanville’s weren’t quite there yet.

If we were fully healthy sure we have a better chance of winning. Will the Texans look better next week fully healthy? Yes of course they will.

Dosent mean you can’t win games, especially one where you have 5 interceptions.

The team that lost to the Bills and the team that lost to the Chiefs had a chance.

Houston vs Dallas would have been epic.

This is a relative comparison because the 1st half hasn't been spectacular ever this season. Nico and Diggs were healthy for a month. This shows a serious lack of coaching prowess when you can't maximize your talent and can't make any productive adjustments at halftime. But yeah, Tunsil stopped averaging 2 penalties/game, so at least there's that.

Texans defense set the franchise record for INTs in a game (5) and the team was +3 in takeaways. They still lost... at home, on national TV.

Outscored 19-0 in the 2nd half
    Negative point-diff despite being 6-4

We are clearly pretenders and will be lucky to win a playoff game. IF they win, they'll get blown out in the divisional round.

Come on, the Texans lost by 3 points to arguably the best team in the league right now. Do you really think this loss makes the Texans "pretenders"? That is madness. If anything, this game proved the Texans can play with anyone.

Don't worry about national TV either. No one watches Texans games thinking god the Texans suck, their fans must be so embarrassed.

The only ones that are embarrassing are a small minority of the fan base, mostly the ones hiding behind screens talking nonsense. Overall the Texans fans I know and have met are fantastic.

So, enjoy the rest of the season, and no it isn't a sure thing the Texans will be one and done if they get in the playoffs. Keep the faith!
