Ok I'm going to stop you right there - why is there a relationship between the supply chain inflation from 21-23 and the new tariffs of 2025? Aside from not having a time machine - these two things aren't linked to each other. You're aware that tariffs are inflationary not deflationary, right? It makes things cost more. That's the whole point But anyway if you're asking me whether I'd like to continue along the current trajectory of 2.5 % inflation and low unemployment vs higher inflation plus potentially higher unemployment due to tariff related price shocks - i would prefer the current one. And finally - deflation is a really bad idea so that's why nobody does it - if you're having deflation, you're in a depression.

I am specifically saying there are ways to recoup tariff costs for manufacturers in the USA if they are exporting, or someone else is exporting similar product defined to the HS code. Feel free to look into it since you seem to know nothing about it. There is nothing long term inflationary or deflationary about tariffs if the purpose is to create jobs by bringing manufacturing back to America. The idea is to grow the economy and create more jobs. It’s a pretty simple concept and it would be un-American to be against it. Is there potential immediate financial impact? Sure, what doesn’t have one? If all you care about is immediate impacts, I can’t even imagine how your finances look. The impact to China and others is worse. I know this with 10+ years of first hand experience with it. The stuff you read in the news is far from accurate and that’s part of the problem. I’m sure most economists haven’t even thought about buying stuff made in America as part of their “forecast” which usually has an agenda depending on what news you are getting the info from. And finally - If you proceeded to read the rest of my post before interrupting it, you would already have understood that. I don't. Money shapes this world. The economy is global. Sure we have enemies but we all want our countries to do well economically. There is no need to protect our natural resources anymore. I love America but I'm not hooked on it remaining "America". The world is getting smaller

Trump disavowed David Duke and you know who.....I kind of believe him. I do not think he is a Nazi but I do think he is has some potential as an anarchist and someone who revels in chaos. He reminds me of Two Face Harvey from Gotham City but someone who does not need the Coin flip.
